ParkerThe next morning came bright and early but i just couldn’t feel myself going to school. I don’t know what was going on but i just felt weak and down. Heck! I couldn’t even lift my hand which was lieing helplessly beside me. It just seemed like there was a huge weight on my shoulder that continually dragged me down.‘’Parker? Parker.’’ My mom called.I answered faintly, too weak to do anything more than that. She walked into my room, a small frown on her face. There was no doubt that she was quite worried, seeing the look on my face. I knew that if i looked at the mirror, i would probably look awful.‘’Hi Mom,’’ i smiled. My smile must have come out very bad because in the next moment, she cringed, chuckling before walking closer to where i lay on my bed.‘’You look terrible, what’s the problem?’’ she asked, feeling my temperature.‘’Oww. That hurt.’’ i sighed.‘’Oh my dear boy, it looks like you just caught a cold. You’re burning up, you really can’t go to school this way.’’ sh
AmandaAt the close of school that day, i quickly grabbed my bag before rushing out of the class. I needed to get to Parker on time because the way he sounded earlier on the phone was anything but good.‘’Hey! Slow down tiger.’’ Emily laughed.I had also noticed that ever since we resumed from the mid-session break, she had been behaving strangely. I really don’t know what could have caused this because as far as i’m concerned, we never fought.Nevertheless, i decided to give her some space. Maybe that was what she really wanted. But now, it seems she wants my attention.‘’Where are you running off to?’’ she huffed.Apparently, she had been running, trying to catch up with me and my long strides. With the small beads of sweat rolling down her face, i knew she had made an effort. ‘’Sorry babe.’’ I laughed. There was a stricken look on her face as she tried to catch her breath. I could tell that she had been running for quite a while.‘’Dang! You should be an athlete.’’ Emily laughed.
UnknownThe man walked towards the building, his face cap covering more than half of his face. He was on a mission, a mission to kill and no one could stop him because he was unstoppable. The man never forgave and even when he was angry or annoyed over something he couldn't control, he smiled but deep within him was a heart made of stone. He got to the front door of the building, disabling the security system without breaking a sweat. This was something he was used to, he'd been doing it since he could walk. The man walked into the spacious living room of the family he was to terminate. He was an assasin, a hardened criminal who showed no mercy to his victims. He killed for money most of the time and some times, he killed for the fun of it.The man looked around, searching for his first victim. The living room was empty which was not what he expected. He pulled out his shotgun, enabling the silencer as he crept upstairs in hopes of finding the people he was to kill. A sound from the
"Hey Amanda, what's up?" A voice said.Amanda knew who that voice belonged to. She didn't need to turn around in order to know who that wa.. She had already sensed him from a mile away. Ian Gregory, the school's resident fine boy was hurrying towards her even as Amanda tried all she could to move away from him. She didn't want to talk to him for fear of what her heart might do.Ian was the only boy in the whole school that Amanda seemed to have the slightest affection for and that was before Parker came along but not anymore because he had bullied her to no end. He was funny, down to eart but was as spoilt as anything. Even though their school could only be attended by the rich, Ian seemed to have this proudness within him that she hadn't seen in no one else. She knew he loved her, she had seen the look on his face the first time they kissed a year ago. Straight away, he had asked her to be his girlfriend but Amanda declined to the surprise of everyone around. They didn't know the bas
AmandaI never believed I would find love again but Parker proved me wrong. Ever since I agreed to be his girlfriend, he's been so loving and caring I felt like I was in heaven. My dad was so happy I had finally gotten over my last experience but my mum was still sceptical but with time, she'll come around.Aunty Pat and Megan were okay. Megan resumed school, aunty Pat didn't want to take chances and enrolled her in one very close to the house. Ronald hadn't attempted to reach us anymore and soon, the matter was forgotten.Today, Parker was taking me to his favorite spot in the world. I tried to find out where that was but he said it was a surprise. I couldn't wait to find out, he was due to arrive any moment and just then, his car arrived. I quickly brushed my hair and tied it in a loose ponytail grabbing my purse in the process. "I'll be back soon mum", i said. "Sure honey, be careful and say hi to Parker", she said. "Have fun darling", aunty Pat
IanI was damn tired of chasing her. it was getting difficult but i knew i couldn't stop now even when i knew i was getting close to her. Amanda would be mine soon and it was only a matter of time before she's officially mine. I checked my phone for the umpteenth time that morning in hopes that she had sent a message but there was still nothing.I was tempted to send her another message but i didn't want to pass as being too desperate even though i was. I wanted to give her enough time to get used to all of these before i begin properly. Amanda was going to be fine, that was all I was bothered about and it was something that would come to pass.I shrugged on my coat as I stepped out of my house. Today was the last day of work for me till the following week when we would be resuming school again and i wanted to make the best out of it. I had the whole of the weekend to lure Amanda towards me and I knew I wouldn't fail especially when i set my mind towards meeting something.''Hi." a sen
AmandaMorning came like every other day that beautiful Friday morning. It was the last day of the school week and I couldn't wait to be done with school that day.I needed to rest, school these past few days have been quite hectic what with the preparations for the debate that will be coming up in a few days. I was the chief speaker, the main moderator who'll bring the school victory and the success of that event lied heavily on my shoulders. I had planned, prepared and now, I'm fully ready. My alarm chose that moment to give a shrill sound, startling me to switch it off. On some days, I did wake up before the alarm and other days, let's just say it saved my life more times than I can count."Another school day." I groaned before rising up to my feet.I needed to start preparing if I didn't want to go late. I was the school's head girl after all and every of my movements would be monitored.Asides the preparations, I couldn't wait to see Parker today. Ever since he asked me out in th
ParkerSchool had already resumed and to say I was happy to be seeing Amanda would be an understatement, I was ecstatic. Ever since I asked her out, there was this noticeable glow around me that my mother even saw. She had asked me times without number what was responsible for it but I just didn't want to tell her quite yet.Our relationship was still very young and I didn't want to announce quite yet until it was strong enough. I knew no one in school knew about it and I loved it that way. Amanda was one girl I didn't want to joke with. She meant so much to me and I knew I'd be the greatest fool if I hurt the love she had for me."Mom, I'm off." I called. As usual, dad had gone out already. He was working really hard to get our family back on track and for that, I would continually be grateful to him. We were better off than how we came at the very beginning and i owed it all to my parents."Hey love. You're off?" Mom asked, walking out of the kitchen. The sweet smell of freshly made
