She's alive

Mia enjoyed her time with her friends at the club. Emily and yvonne became drunk while Mia was a little tipsy so she drove them home.

On their way, Adrian followed them carefully trying to make sure that they were safe when the car suddenly pulled over in front of an apartment.

Emily and Yvonne stepped down from the car and Mia helped them get into the elevator. They all entered the room and Mia turned on the lights. 

Mia won't you sleep over today? Emily said as she slumped on the chair drowsy.

'Nah'. I have some stuffs to do at home. Mia sighed. But I'll definitely come first thing in the morning.

Meanwhile...

Adrian parked some distance away from Mia's car. He guessed that she wouldn't come out of the apartment soon as she may sleep over and he started his car and drove away. 

Almost immediately, Mia came out of the apartment and quickly started her car and drove towards the direction Adrian went. Adrian noticed the car but didn't know it was Mia. 

somewhere on the road...

A tattered looking truck drove roughly on the road. The driver drinking and smoking, didn't pay attention to the road. He picked up a burrito, wanting to eat it, when he ran into a pot hole and the burrito fell from his hands. In attempt to pick it up he swayed on the road roughly and in a blink of an eye, the truck collided with a car....

Earlier,

 In Mia's car...

Mia drove carefully on the road. In two days time she would open her resort to the public and she had to prepare and also make arrangements for her fathers therapy-He lost the strength of his legs due to an infection and he goes on therapy in order to strengthen his legs. 

Mia sighed. She noticed a car swaying on the road avoiding the car at the front by a hair's breadth. Before she could maneuver, the car headed towards hers and there was a collision.

MINUTES LATER...

Sirens could be heard all over the place and two bodies were being rolled into the ambulance. The accident was very fatal as nobody expected either of them to survive. 

Adrian couldn't believe his eyes. The girl he saw an hour ago having fun with her friends was in this state. He wasn't even sure she was alive at that moment. He sighed heavily as he saw a brochure of the new resort she was about to open. He saw her beautiful face on the cover and smiled. He hoped she was alive because that's all the hope he would need.

He drove to the hospital and he was told that she's in the theatre. He was relieved because that only meant she was alive. He only hope that the doctor would keep her that way. Two hours later, she was wheeled out of the OR[1] and was taken to the ICU[2]. Some minutes later, the doctor came out and Adrian quickly walked up to him.

How is she doing doctor? Adrian asked with worry all over his face.

The doctor looked at Adrian thinking he was her boyfriend.

He sighed before he began.

She's in a very critical state right now. We just have to wait till tomorrow if she'll make it but the damage in her brain is very severe. I'm sorry but only a miracle would keep her alive till the next day. The doctor touched Adrian's shoulder and was about to leave when Adrian called back.

Doctor can I see her?

Yes you can and please contact her family so they'll come and see her. I don't think she'll make it.

"The fact that she's alive right now is the only hope I need". Adrian said as he walked into her ward. The doctor looked at Adrian's and he had some strange of feelings as Adrian said those words.

"The fact that she's alive is the only hope I need". He recalled those words.
