No mana fluctuations

Damon held Mia and carried her princess style. 

You're not bringing her with us, are you? Selena asked with a raised brow.

You said it yourself, Selene. This place is dangerous and she's unconscious. Why should we leave her here in the first place? He replied as he walked further.

Selene caught up to him. She has been behaving strangely you know. Are you sure she's not a part of 'them'? You know we can't just trust anyone we see. The war between our kind and the witches is becoming intense. A child is dangerous to us at this time. We shouldn't take chances Damon. Please.

He sighed and looked at Selene. She wasn't being cruel. She had lost her family to the witches and Damon was the only one she had left. He saw her worried look and he couldn't help but admire how caring she had been to him. 

*sigh* I know you're worried about me. But what if she isn't one of them. We need more people on our side to win this war. I have a good feeling that she's one of us but if otherwise, I'll end her myself. She doesn't seem like a threat and I can't sense the aura of the witches from her.

 He looked at Mia closer and frowned. He couldn't tell Selene what he had noticed.

There was no way he could tell her that Mia doesn't give off any mana fluctuation but something else. That was why he took her in. He needed to find out what it was. If she was on his side, he could use that against the witches and if it turns out that she's on the witches' side, things would get very troublesome. But he had to take the risk and try besides she wouldn't wake up anytime soon.

Emily fluttered her eyes open as she wakes up. Sitting beside her was Adrian.

You're finally awake.

How long was I out? Emily said sitting up on the bed.

Two hours. Adrian said as he walked towards the door. Mia is in the next room at the left. You need to contact her family. As he was about leaving the room, Emily called back.

Emily sighed. She picked up her phone and saw some missed calls from Yvonne. Then she called her back. 

Hey Emy. What happened I've been calling you for hours and Uncle Borden also said Mia hasn't been home since yesterday. He's very worried

*sobs* Oh Yvonne. Mia, she's in the hospital. She's in.. *sobs*..

What is it Emily? What happened to Mia?

She was in an accident yesterday and she's in a coma.
