Chapter Twenty-Eight

Luke's POV

Everything seemed to be unraveling itself slowly. I felt fear within me, I haven't been this way for a very long time now. The last time I was in fear was the time I had to fight in the trials. Fear of losing, was all that filled my mind. Now this again, I was confused. "What if everything I've worked for crumbled right in front of my eyes." These thoughts kept pestering my heart.

I spied on Eretria, Her eyes were slightly opened. She laid on the bed with both of her hands right behind her head. She might also be thinking. I Sat down alone with my thoughts. I could not speak out, so I kept silent with me battling with my mind. Everything I've done was all because of Eretria. I couldn't let him get away with what he did. I had to take revenge even though it meant I had to lie right to Eretria's face.

She did trust me and she still does till now but I could not guess beforehand what would happen if she came to know about what I had done, everything that happened that night.
