It was particularly very rainy today and Stacey couldn’t wait until it was calm for her to leave her house. This is because today was Friday and no one at the school could let the climate stand in their way of having fun after a hectic week of studies and work. As she walked along the streets her mind wandered away to when she was a kid and how every time it was a birthday it would be a rainy day just like this one, but her birthday was still a few hours away.

She recalled every time she would blow the candle on her cake and make a wish in a whisper and would wake up to exactly what she wished she would have.

The one wish that was In her mind was when she wished for a bicycle for her birthday, she knew her parents couldn’t get her one because she had been asking for one for a long time and she never got one, but that night as she slept she had a dream of a beautiful woman dressed in beautiful colours came to her room and kissed her just right after placing the bicycle she had wished for at their door.

The next morning she was very excited and she got up from her bed, she ran as fast as her feeble legs could carry her to their doorstep and there it was, her parents couldn’t either explain but they let her be happy instead.

She would believe that perhaps her parents had made that wish come true for her and that they knew what her heart's desire was, those were the good days when she was happy as a kid and in a complete family until one day her father Jerald packed his things and left.

It was then when she learned that he was another of his mother boyfriends but she liked him compared to all other fathers her mother had made her have.

Jerald was the best who always made sure she had birthday surprises and was the one man who played a fatherly role to her.

She always felt misplaced in life and she believed that if she knew who her father was maybe she would have an identity but her mother never told her no matter how many times she would ask, she would simply bring her boyfriend to the house and tell her to call them daddy.

She did understand her mother loved her differently, because every time she was drunk she would tell her not to repeat the mistakes she did as a teenager.

Her mother Patricia was an alcoholic and she got into drugs when she was on campus and got pregnant at an early age with Stacey. That changed her life and she had to drop out of school because of her strict parents who wouldn't hear a word of what she had o say, she cut her family off and went on to live her life by herself with her child. Stacey was all she got aside from the many men she was with at different times and she was all Stacey had.

Stacey was a tough girl because she learned life the hard way having a drunkard for a mother who would not go to any rehab, and even though she had followed some of he mother's patterns like drinking or using drugs she still had her goals found and the one thing she had made sure was to practice abstinence not until she was financially ready to take some risks.

Peter who was her boyfriend for several years now, was okay with that and had not tried to change her mind otherwise and that's why she loved him dearly for being so patient with her, lost in her thoughts as she walked on the side way of the road a car came flashing light to her and she looked the other side bored that Peter had not received her calls to come to pick her.

She was heading to his house since Linda had ditched her and gone to the party with her date which was not planned for.

It was a good thing she wasn’t staying far distant from where her boyfriend; lived and in a short period she was at his door. She tried knocking to get him to open for her but some loud music was coming from the house, he couldn't hear the knock. Luckily for her, she had a spare key which she used to open the door.

Her ears were not deaf to the strange noises coming from the bedroom and her thoughts could only tell her one thing. There was another woman with him in his bedroom. She rushed to see if it were only an assumption but her eyes couldn't believe her worst fear was coming to life this very day.

“Peter!” she called out angrily at him and they rushed to cover themselves in the sheet but they did not seem to be bothered by her being there.

“Is this her?” the lady with her boyfriend asked Peter looking at Stacey like she didn't give a care and so did Peter.

“Yeah, see I told you she is not as beautiful as you are,” Peter said kissing the lady he was with at her neck and Stacey couldn’t believe he was doing this in front of her.

She wondered what had she ever done wrong to him to deserve this, and she couldn’t hold the tears falling form her eyes, she would hardly cry but this was not a situation she would hold back her emotions.

“maybe you should come later we are busy,” Peter said to her as she stood fixed on the ground not saying a word but tears flowing from her eyes she felt like a fool and felt very small.

“why…..why are you doing this to me??” she asked him still fixed on the ground and not moving hse trusted this man and she loved him aside from her mother who had also hurt her in different ways she had looked at Peter as the one person who wouldn't hurt her and that's why this hurt her.

I have no time to explain things to you okay, I am a man who got needs that need to be satisfied now can you excuse us, since you all asked this for yourself by coming here without calling me.

Weren't you supposed to be at the party? But it's an good thing you came at least I can end this stupid relationship we had” he said to her and for a moment she felt her heart drop to the ground and her legs so stiff incapable of moving, she had the woman's irritating laughter and that made her feel even worse. She wiped her tears and let anger fume in her as she screamed at him.

“you know what f**k you!! f**k this!! okay !!! is this how you want it !! fine !! I just wish you were dead, both of you monsters!! dead!!DEAD!! F**K!!!” she said storming out of the room cursing out loud at them as they laughed at how angry she was.
