"Not just that. I thought you should know about the invasion of my father. I found it still related to the Abyss."

Lucas that prick!

What was he thinking hitting me with his taunting words?

I froze for a moment thinking about what to do.

"Well, it's a good thing. I mean you should get something to calm your nerves. What do you want? Desserts? Drinks?"

This is the best I can offer right now. It was either I cover up or I squirm. Lucas coming here wasn't pure intention after all. He might just have known enough than I thought.

But instead, I would feign demureness and cover my perplexed self.

I made him follow me to the dining, which was filled with lots and lots of desserts and fruits and meats.

Samuel too followed behind us, it was nice having them around. Not nice for me. I hate sitting among them. But the pack members loved it. They see it as a smooth running of affairs and keep their mind at ease.
