LOGIN{Arizona's pov}
I was talking to my Friend Emily when I witnessed her aunt, Everett's mother walking inside the room. she stood next to me and Caressed my hair. I felt comfort and warmness, a type of confort I never got from my parent's touch. "Arizona," her voice came and I looked at her. "Dear, you will have to undergo Embolization." my eyes widened on her words, Embolization? "But why?" My voice came out as a low whisper. "Well, Everett Informed me about everything and... maybe it's because your father kicked you in your stomach." she explained and tears filled my eyes as I remembered the incident that took place a few hours ago. "it's totally fine Arizona, you will be fine. we will be here for you." She wiped my tears and I passed a weak smile to her. "mom, The treatment should start by now." Everett's voice echoed from the door gaining our attention, His mother looked at me making sure if I was ready or not. I nodded, insuring her that I was ready for it. "There's one more thing Arizona." my every brows narrowed in confusion as I stared at her face. "You may face swelling, pain and maybe infertility in future." I felt a pang in my chest, Infertility? I have always dreamt of having a baby. "but this treatment is important.," Everett's voice brought me Back from the chain of my thoughts and I nodded, gulping the tears down. .......... {Everett's pov} I was standing outside the operating room, my mind racing with worry for Arizona. I still can't believe what her so-called parents did to her, I can't imagine why anyone would treat their own children that way. I'm pacing back and forth, my hands in fists, feeling a mix of anger and frustration. Suddenly, I remembered what her supposed father said to me before he left. 'Marry her, do whatever you want with her.' I shudder at the memory, hating the way he spoke about her. The doctor came out of the operating room, and I turned to him, my voice tense with worry. "Is the operation done? How is she?" I can feel the concern and anxiety seeping through my usual cold demeanor. I can't help but feel a strong sense of protectiveness towards Arizona. "Nothing to worry about Mr. Williams, she will be absolutely fine." The doctor informed and smiled. I could feel the tension in my shoulders loosen slightly, but I couldn't shake off the feeling of worry, especially after hearing her so-called father's words, "When will she wake up?" "she will wake up soon and once we shift her to the room, you all can meet her." the doctor explained and excused himself. I felt a small sense of relief, but the worry and anger were still there. ............ {Arizona's pov} I opened my eyes just to witness the same room I was admitted in the morning. I looked beside me just to witness Emily and she immediately smiled. "Ari! you are finally awake. how are you? does it hurt? are you fine? do you need something?" She bombarded me with questions and a soft chuckle escaped my mouth. "Calm down, I am alright." my voice was laced with weaknesses. "Arizona!" Emily's mother's voice gained my attention and I looked at her with a week smile on my mouth. "You should come with us after your discharge." Her mother said, I wish they were my family I always feel a different level of comfort and protection with them. "it's alright Aunty, I will manage on my own. you guys already did so much for me. I don't even know if I will be able to pay you back." I assure, I don't want to become a burden on all of them and I am an adult who can live on her own. "no need to pay back, we did it for a human as a human." Everett's voice came as he walked inside with a bag in his hand. ............ -1 week later- I woke up from the sound of the Alarm and looked at the window, I sighed and started getting ready for the college. wearing wide leg jeans with an oversized hoodie and after making a bun in my hair, I put the hood of my hoodie on. plucking in my ear buds and after taking my bag, I walked towards the college. directly walking inside the classroom, I threw my bag on the seat next to me and kept my head down on the desk. "Arizona!" Emily's voice broke my sleep and I lazily sat up and stared at her to speak further, "How are you doing now?" She asked, "good, and how about you?" I asked her back and she replied with her usual cheerful expression and tone, "Great as usual." "you are coming to Sara's birthday party, right?" My face turned dull on her question, I was so busy working and Managing everything that I almost forgot about the birthday, but I had no plans of joining the birthday party. "I can't, Emily." I replied and her face turned into a frowned one, "And why is that?" She questioned, her eyebrows narrowing. "because I have to work At a café after college." I informed her with a meek smile approaching my lips. "Ari, Don't be too hard on yourself." her voice was laced with concern and worry. "I am not being hard on myself, I am doing totally fine Emi, don't worry." I replied, my voice was calm and composed the same as my expressions. ........... I was working at the Café when someone called my name, I immediately looked up towards the source of the voice just to witness Everett's mother, "Oh! hello Aunty, what brings you here?" I asked with a soft smile lacing my face. "Was just passing by so I thought of checking on you, how are you doing my dear?" her voice was laced with concern and warmness, a sense of comfort which I almost never felt in my life. "I am doing Great, how about you?" I asked back with a genuine smile playing on my lips which was never leaving its place. "you are going through a lot at such a young age." my smile flickered for a second but I immediately covered it up. "when does your shift gets over?" her question came and I immediately answered her, "At 9." "Great then, our house is nearby. come for dinner tonight, I will send someone to pick you up." She spoke, and I looked at her with a dull expression, they had already did so much for me I can't take more of their Favor. "it's totally fine aunty, I will just go home." I hesitated. "I am not asking, I am ordering you as my daughter. just come." my eyes teared up, I wish she was my mother. or maybe my real mother was way better than those people who claimed to be my parents for so many years. "I will be waiting," her voice pulled me out of my thoughts and I nodded on her words. once my shift got over I walked towards The Williams villa, As I entered inside I was welcomed by Emily's mother. "Oh! Arizona, you can go to Emily's room and freshen up and then we will all have our dinner." she informed and I nodded before walking upstairs towards Emily's room. as I opened the door I witnessed Emily who was using her phone but as soon as she saw me she immediately jumped from the bed and ran to me, pulling me in a tight embrace. "I am so happy you know?" she excitedly said, "why tho?" a question slipped out of my mouth, which was genuine. "because you are here." A soft chuckle escaped my mouth, So happy just to see me here? surely she is a diamond. "go and freshen up." I nodded and she pushed me towards the washroom. after freshening up I and Emily walked downstairs together just to witness everyone already settled on the table, I greeted everyone before taking my seat next to Emily. Everyone started having dinner when Everett's mother took everyone's attention, "He is not home yet, he never join us for the dinner." I guess she was talking about Everett, This is bad but everytime I see him my heart skips a bit. maybe it's just a small crush or something. "it's alright, he is handling the whole company alone." his father Spoke and His mother nodded, so Everett Willaims is a workaholic. "Arizona, Why don't you just come and live with us?" Everett's Grandmother asked and I just stared at my plate. "I am managing well Grandma," I replied with a small smile. "mom is right Arizona, you should just move in." Everett's father spoke, I don't know how to protest. "You guys have already did a lot favors how can I take more? also I have no relations with you all and still you guys are caring this much about me. the care and love you guys are showing towards me is enough." my voice almost broke, I am way too thankful to them for every thing. "why don't we make a relation with you then?" Everett's mother asked making everyone confused. "what do you mean?" Emily's mother asked. "Why do we get Arizona and Everett married?" as soon as the words escaped her mouth I chocked, no i wasn't eating anything I just chocked. I felt Emily rubbing my back and Passing me a glass of water. "Are you alright?" His mother asked and I nodded in response. "then what do you think Arizona?" She asked again making me go blank, how can I? they are so Rich and he is perfect why would he settle down for me? "let her eat first." Thankyou uncle, Everett's father spoke and his mother nodded.{Third person's pov}Everett stepped out of his car and opened the door for Arizona, They both walked inside the campus together.Everett was talk of the town and everyone in the college knew him, and seeing Arizona with him people were both confused and curious.Arizona held her bag tightly, she wasn't liking those looks from the students, and what surprised her further was Everett intertwining his fingers with hers.She immediately looked at him but his face was all calm and composed.“If they’re going to look anyway, let them look properly. No one here should mistake you for someone standing alone.”His thumb brushed once against the back of her hand, small, grounding.As they approached the administrative block, a few professors straightened immediately upon seeing him. Students moved aside almost instinctively.Everett didn’t slow down. The authority around him was effortless.But the moment he noticed Arizona clutching her bag tighter again, his tone softened just slightly.“Bre
{Third person's pov}Everett’s expression changed instantly. Something far more dangerous to a man like him.His eyes searched hers for a brief second, like he was making sure she truly meant it.Then, without a word, he opened his arms slightly.The invitation was enough.The moment she stepped closer, Everett’s arms wrapped around her carefully, but completely.One hand settled at the back of her head, the other around her waist, pulling her against his chest with a steadiness that felt protective rather than possessive.He was warm.Safe in a way she probably hadn’t experienced before.And Everett… held her like she was something fragile he had no intention of letting break again.His hand moved slowly through her hair once, calming, while his chin rested lightly against the top of her head.“You don’t have to earn comfort here,” he murmured.The words were low enough to vibrate against her skin.“And you don’t have to ask permission for it either.”For a long moment, he simply sto
{Third person's pov}The bathroom door was still shut, water running softly inside while Everett sat there in silence, staring at the phone resting on the nightstand.He wasn’t angry because she had a life before marriage. But something about the message, about the familiarity of it, unsettled him more than he expected.And Everett hated unexpected feelings.The bathroom door finally clicked open..Arizona stepped out, drying her damp hands slightly before pausing. Because Everett was looking at her.His fingers tapped once against the phone beside him.“Max,” he said calmly. “Who is he?”“And before you answer,” he added quietly, “I’d prefer the truth over comfort.”Arizona sighed, "Just a classmate from the college." She said and sat infront of the dressing table to dry her hair.Everett watched her through the mirror, “Classmate,” he repeated slowly, like he was testing the word against the message he had read.His gaze shifted briefly to the phone again before returning to her refl
{Third person's pov}Arizona was sitting on the couch and reading a book when Everett came back. As soon as she saw him she closed the book and looked at him, "Should I bring water?" She asked.Everett shook his head, "When are you rejoining your college?" He asked and before she could answer he added."From tomorrow, you should join your college." Arizona blinked, visibly caught off guard.“Tomorrow?” she repeated softly, almost unsure if she heard him correctly.Everett loosened his cufflinks as he walked further into the room, expression unreadable. “Yes,” he said simply. “Why not?”“You’re married, not imprisoned.” The words landed heavier than he intended.His jaw tightened slightly, like he realized something about her silence, but chose not to push yet.Instead, he placed his phone on the table and looked at her properly. “You were studying before this marriage,” he continued, voice calm, practical. “You’ll continue now too.”“As long as you want to study, you will.” Arizona s
{Third person's pov}Arizona woke up and found the bed empty, She looked at the clock and it was already nine am, she cursed under her breath and got up from the bed.She was making her way towards the bathroom when the door clicked open and she paused.There stood her husband, in nothing but just a towel around his waist, water droplets were falling from his hair and travelling all the way down to his chest and abs. She sucked a deep breath, Her heart was beating wildly, she realised she was staring at him and then she immediately turned around. "I am sorry, I didn't see anything..." Everett paused the moment he saw her. Not because of her words, but because of the way she turned so quickly, almost startled.For a second, he just stood there, water still dripping from his hair, completely unbothered… until he noticed how stiff her posture was.“I would hope so,” he said dryly, grabbing a towel from the chair and running it through his hair, tone calm as ever. “It’s your room too.”
{Third person's pov}Arizona was inside the wardrobe trying to change her wedding dress but she couldn't open the strings of her corset. She sighed when she failed once again in opening the string, Slowly she turned around and made her way towards the room. "Um... can you help me with this?" She asked as she spotted Everett sitting on the couch and doing something on his laptop.Everett didn’t look up immediately. His fingers paused on the keyboard for just a second, enough to register her voice, her hesitation.Then he closed the laptop. Slowly. Deliberately.When he looked up, his gaze went to her… then to the back of her dress where the corset strings were tied.A brief silence.Not awkward, measured. He stood up, setting the laptop aside, and walked toward her without a word. His steps were calm, unhurried… but there was a certain awareness in the way he stopped behind her, leaving just enough space.“Turn around,” he said quietly. Not cold. Just direct.Once she did, his hands
