Chapter 45

My palms became sweaty and different thoughts ran through my head, trying to possibly search for lie to tell her. "I... I'm not." My voice came out quite shaky.

"I can hear that, I can feel it. There's no point trying to lie, Bella. You are pregnant."

My heart raced faster and I opened my mouth severally to speak but no words came out of them. "Yes, you are! Oh my god, how were you able to hide it?"

"Keep your voice down!" Her voice echoed loudly around the basement, I feared somebody else might find out and that would be double trouble for me.

I thought it was well hidden since my connection with the pack was broken and she wasn't even a member of the pack! How could she?!

...or rather, what is she?

"Who owns the baby?" Lavender strode closer to the cell and unexpectedly grabbed my wrist tightly, pulling me closer to her.

"Hey! Let go of me." I tried to pull my wrist from her but her grip only grew tighter, making my wrist hurt already.

"I asked a question and you would answer me."
