Chapter 36

Alessia’s pov

My eyes widened. Dazed. Shocked. I pushed him back gently to disconnect the contact, then wondered in my head, why I hadn't pushed him hard enough.

Words stuck in my mouth as my eyes regarded him. No, actually, I had no words, shocked at my shits.

He didn't try closing in for another kiss. He grabbed my wrist instead, staring intensely into my eyes as if to melt my soul with his gaze.

“For how long do you plan to resist?’’ His lips parted to say.

I swallowed, looked away, and tried to collect my hand from his grip.

‘‘Stop….’’ He pulled me hard, cutting my motion.

“I'm your mate, Alessia. It's not a one sided kind of situation.’’ He growled, hurt and fury crossed his eyes.

It sparked my resentment to catch fury in his eyes. Was this some kind of joke? If someone deserved to be angry, that should be me.

‘‘So what?’’ I spat, matching his tone. A scowl crawled to his face, unclarity glinting in his features.

“So what if we are mates, huh? Did you happen t

Chapter 37Alessia's pov A soft tingling sensation feathered my naked skin, teasing my libido with every wet smooch. I soon realised what it was about when a familiar wet sensation trapped my left nipple. I was forced out of my sleep to respond to the sextual drill, driving my fingers into his bushy hairs while I bit back a moan. I allowed him easy access to my core, parting my thighs wide as his fingers sorted my entrance. He got down to give me the best finger fuck I'd ever gotten in my life. “Fuck, Cyri!’’ I pitched, gasping for breath as I felt my orgasm building up already. How could I not give in? My body was still yet to recover from the mind blowing thrusts he administered to me last night. I loved every night I spent with Thompson but last night topped them all. I watered his hand with my cum in a few seconds, but he wasn't done with me yet and I was totally overjoyed. He came between my legs, supporting my thighs that had become unstable from his mellifluous torment

Chapter 38Lycan Cyril Her scents crossed my nostrils, announcing her presence without objective effort. I managed to maintain my cool, keeping my gaze on the table. A bit out of discomfort, and in a bid to avoid stirring awkwardness between us. A few minutes earlier, I was at the top floor with Alan after returning from the kingdom square where I had attended a meeting with the elders. While Alan talked about the materials we required to construct the said border barriers reported by the elders to have gotten due for reconstruction, all I thought about was the crazy steamy night I spent with Alessia in the bedroom. I pulsated to see her again tonight, but at the same time, I tried to contain my excitement to avoid cloning myself into a pervert. I wasn't sure what to say to her. Her quietness was expected. I could swear that she wasn't going to throw a word at me first. I knew her well enough to discern that much. I waited until she settled, but then the maids came in to serve ou

Chapter 39Alessia's pov I dialed Thompson on the phone and waited for him to pop in. My heart bled. I wasn't exactly sure why; if it was about how I had just reacted towards Cyril or the same ill feelings from the recent development. “Hey.’’ Thompson finally picked up on the last ring. “Good job, Alessia. I knew you would pull through this.’’I could imagine the smile sitting on his lips as he said those words. It only made my heart wreck the more. “I'm returning back to Silverstone by tomorrow.” I simply said, shutting my emotions out to prevent affecting my voice. “Sure. Are you okay?’’ He asked out of the blues. If I had been in my normal day mood, I'd have been utterly stunned. And maybe a spark of excitement would have lightened up in the pit of my tummy. But it felt bland for the first time. ‘‘I'm good. I'm sorry I missed your calls, I usually don't step out with my phone most times.’’“Really? Where have you been then? I called you all morning until noon.’’ He was puzzl

Chapter 40Alessia's povI breathed deeply, relishing in the nostalgic air of Silverstone pack as the wind hit my face. I couldn't care less about whatever I was returning to deal with. All that mattered to me was finally being free from having to deal with Cyril’s presence. The gates went open upon our arrival, as if the security guards had been waiting for the heat of our car. I was alarmed by the crowd that gathered up in the compound as we swerved in. ‘‘Did something happen?’’ I asked Regal, sat up, stretching my neck to take in a broader view from the windshield. ‘‘What do you mean, Luna.’’ He asked back, totally cool. Like he wasn't seeing the scenario I saw. “Why is everyone gathered like this?’’ By now, they were making way for us as we drove to the main building. “They are here to welcome you home. It's been a while since you left. Besides, the Alpha shared the news of your breakthrough with the pack yesterday.’’ He flashed a genuine smile at me through the rearview mirr

Chapter 41Alessia's povI stiffened. Stunned. Flummoxed. A hug was the least I expected of him. “Th..Thompson…’’ I mumbled out, my hands stiffly by my sides. I heard Annalise scoff in the background, and Thompson withdrew from me to hold my shoulders. He smiled handsomely to my face.‘‘Thank you, Alessia.’’ His gaze felt as if they were going to consume me. I couldn't keep up with them. I shifted my gaze to his shoulder, hoping I hid my discomfort well enough. “It's all thanks to….the Lycan king.’’ I was quick to stop myself from addressing Cyril with his first name. “It's not like I would have forced him into accepting anyway.’’ I chuckled awkwardly. No, actually, everything felt awkward to me right now. “Well it's big thanks to you at least.’’ Eliza tipped in.“I didn't do anything much.’’ I muttered, clearing a dent from Thompson's robe. He still had his gaze intensely on me. I managed to meet his gaze. “Shall we have some food? I'm starving.’’Eliza served the meals this t

I didn't turn yet, waiting to hear the door shut.“Thompson?’’ She called out, frightened and uncertain. Of course it was me. Who else could she expect? I tilted my head back to regard her. Her bed lamps still operated on high alert since she wasn't in bed yet. It provided just enough light to read the expression on her face. She breathed out in relief, shutting the door eventually but without any attempt to step forward. “You scared me.’’ She said, “I did?’’ I chuckled. Probably, since she didn't expect anyone she must have been startled. Plausible. I turned fully to her. “What are you doing?’’‘‘What?’’ She looked around confusedly. ‘‘Why are you standing there?’’ I pointed out. “Oh.’’ She stepped a bit forward. “It's just…I thought you had something to talk about?’’ I keep getting these feelings that she was somewhat strange. Chapter 43Alessia's pov I rubbed my eyes drowsily with the tip of my finger, disturbed by the stinging brightness that hit my face. I parted my eyelids to a squint, almost blinded by the sun ray that shone directly into my face from the window. I rolled over immediately, but I crashed into a hard frame. I sat up abruptly, the drowsiness vanishing from my face. I couldn't believe my eyes when I beheld Thompson wrapped in my duvet, sleeping soundly. He didn't leave? This would be the first time he remained by my side until the break of the next day after sex the previous night. Memories came flooding. He had also worshiped my pussy with his tongue last night. I had almost gone crazy getting it from him. It totally reminded me of my steamy moment with Cyril. I shook my head, carefully stepping out of the duvet to avoid waking him. A shy smile crawled onto my lips as I noticed our clothes laying around on the floor helplessly. I picked them up, dressed back in my nightie, and heade

Have you lost your mind?’’ He seethed, his footsteps approaching. I staggered back, unable to see anything since my hair blocked my face. I stumbled over something and tripped, and a yelp flew off my lips as I crashed my back on a speaker. “What did you expect after sleeping with her the whole night? Don't you dare touch me.’’ I heard Annalise fire, followed by her thumping footsteps.Thompson followed after her, yelling after her to calm down and talk to him. **I swiftly wiped the tear that slipped off my eyes, tightening my grip on the steering wheel with my gaze focused on the road. I deserved it, I shouldn't have laid a hand on Annalise. I got the kids from school and of course, I did my best to hide away my grief. At the very least in fact, their presence helped relieve my mind a bit. Displeased by the idea of returning home,

Chapter 71Alessia's pov I must have zoned out again. Fingers snapped in my face, undoubtedly belonging to Ophelia. “What again?’’ She whined, taking a seat beside me on the wooden bench. “I keep getting this weird feeling, like something isn't right. And it's not always a flop each time I feel like this.’’ I expressed my sincere thought.I could no longer hide it. My heart panicked for some reason, and my mind had refused to leave home. Did something go wrong? Are the kids fine? Those questions persisted in my mind all morning. “Why did you refused to go and see the Alpha?’’ Ophelia questioned suddenly, taking me by a bit of surprise. “I-I mean….is it so important that I see him?’’“Yes it is. But I need to know how important your reason might be first.’’ She answered, throwing such an intense stare at me like I was some criminal in disguise. “Thompson. I'm sure he's been searching for me already. He might eventually find me if his inquiries reaches your Alpha.’’ I lifted my g

Chapter 70Thompson's povI limped my way through the quiet dark roads, watching my back at intervals as I tugged my injured leg along. A grunt escaped my lips as I settled by an empty barn. With heavy breaths breezing off my nostrils, I searched for any phone and dialed Regal. “Cover up for him. Move over there and get on your bellies.’’ He yelled over the phone as the line connected. ‘‘I've been shot.’’ I said, snapping his attention immediately. ‘‘What?’’“I'm on my way back to the house now, but it seems it's still quite a distance away.’’ I complained bitterly, pain stretching intensely through my leg bone. The house was still about twenty meters away. There was no fucking way I could get home on my own, not with the amount of bleeding pouring from my injured leg. ‘‘Where are you right now?’’ Regal inquired. I turned over, trailing my gaze around the darkness of the unfamiliar space. Undoubtedly, it wouldn't have been possible for me to recognise the area in the day, not

GETTING RID OF THE PESTThird person's pov Thompson stood by Adrian's bed, tucking the sheets properly around the sleeping lad. His face beamed crimson with sticky lashes proving evidence that the poor lad had been in tears recently. Finishing up, Thompson swatted one last glance at Adrian's sleepy face, a frustrated sigh leaving his lips. He's had to deal with Adrian's whining over Alessia's absence for the last few hours. Two days had passed already, yet no news of Alessia's whereabouts. Adrian got discharged from the hospital the very day Thompson heard about Alessia's visit to the hospital two days ago, and it hadn't been easy handling him. Annalise wasn't any help. She openly neglects tending to Adrian's needs and gaslights Thompson each time he tries confronting her over it. Of course Emelda was still kept under hostage and couldn't help with Adrian either, leaving Thompson the whole responsibility to handle. Clearing jab from his throat, Thompson turned and headed out. No

Chapter 69Alessia's pov My eyes darted to Lady Amora, widened with shock and fright at Ophelia's somewhat scathing report.“Oh, did he?’’ Lady Amora simply asked, calm and nearly nonchalant. “What message is it?’’ I inquired impatiently. All my time, I've had to deal with Alpha's up until recently. I couldn't afford another Alpha related drama, not just now when things seemed to have gotten a little better with my life. “Oh, he requests to see you when you're awake. It's just for formalities. We have explained to him already the daughter of whom you are.’’ Lady Amora responded in a suiting manner. In all sincerity, her softness was supposed to calm my nerves but it did little to nothing since my brain calculated faster than the seconds. “Let's get you dressed….’’“Can you not tell him I'm awake yet?’’ I interrupted. Desperate. “Huh?’’ Ophelia tuned. “I'm sure Thompson must have herded a search for me. If the Alpha discovers details of me, that'll mean an increased chance of T

We were just…just uh….’’ Ophelia fumbled. “When you said this was my mother's land, what did you mean?’’ I threw the question, my gaze planted fixedly on Lady Amora. Ophelia's words were messing with my head. My mother's name was indeed Allora, but I never heard about her family. Probably because she died in my early days, my father never mentioned them and they never showed up for a visit on any occasion. I was forced into believing she had none. I watched lady Amora swat a glance at Ophelia who totally avoided looking her way. A sigh breezed off her lips and she kicked her way towards me. “How do you feel?’’ She beamed. I couldn't believe my ears, but I chose to swallow down my reproach and nodded instead. “That's a relief.’’ She breathed, letting silence take over. “Um… I should ta

You have been too busy arming your weak men in preparation for an attack but trust me, you won't even see it coming.’’ I sneered with bitterness in my heart, hanging up the call. “He is still yet to find her? I told you not to trust him.’’ Lance whined. He had been watching me all the while I sauntered about on the call with Regal. “Didn't we have more men go in search of her? It's not like I'm depending fully on him.’’ I snapped, not taking his words lightly. A sigh left his lips. “Let's just keep hoping for some news and I really wish you'd calm down during this time.’’ “Where in hell have you gone, Alessia?’

They couldn't even withhold their honour and stand firm in the presence of the lycans. “We can't win against them. It's too dangerous.’’ Elder Zach complaining, wiping his coat. “They are in our land. We can take anything out in our own land.’’ I spat, irritated.“We can't take nothing. The lycans are dangerous. They are currently raiding the whole pack and you speak like that?’’ Ralph rumbled, sounding pissed. “Men are out there fighting back. The fact that neither of you could fight back doesn't make all others a coward!’’ I spewed, my chest flaming madly with rage. “Are you referring to us as cowards right now?’’ He seethed. ‘‘All these isn't necessary right now. Just stop this now before it is too late, alpha.’’ Elder Mayor chirped in. “I agree to that. The Luna, your wife, should be the one responsible for every blames here and not the lycans or the k

I grabbed the horse ropes immediately, kicking the side of the horse aggressively to propel movements from it. I almost lost my balance in the hot chase, but the knowledge of the haunting men behind kept me moving with passion. I saw it coming, but I just didn't expect it to happen so soon. It was another gunshot and a painful neigh from the horse. He collapsed instantly, causing me to roll off on the dusty ground. Tears brimmed my vision as I found my feets, running relentlessly into the bushes by the side of the road. They were Silverstone men, and they were obviously on to catch me and return me to the dungeon where Thompson might eventually have my head chopped off and placed on a stake in the pack’s square. Chapter 63CYRIL’S POV “Get him! Don't let him get in!!’’ Thompson screamed amidst his sword clash with Alan. Lance had just taken out the last of his staged men. Now just the elders were left by the entrance, trembling timidly to their feets. I started straight to the door with my gaze planted on the three men, looking out for what moves they'd throw. They scurried aside fearfully once I approached, allowing me unhindered access into the building. Lance followed after me while Alan dealt with Thompson. Not a single soul pranced the living room, nor the passage, nor any corners in sight. “I'll check upstairs. You check the passage.’’ Lance alarmed, retreating for the stairway already. I directed my steps into the passage, straight down to wherever it led. An indistinct sound nearby stole my attention immediately. If I hadn't heard it, I wouldn't have realised the almost invisible door by the side. I slowly turned closer, my heart thrashing with so much anticipation. I turned t
