I watch as Augustus silently leaves from the back door with Lyra thrown over his shoulder.  That son-of-a-bitch.  I cannot believe that Cain would stoop so low as to send his own mate after her, or that his mate would even agree. 

Augustus was one of the strongest warriors of the Silver Wolf Pack until he was rejected by his mate.  He refused to ever say who his mate was, I am assuming for fear that he would be killed by Cain and his father.  The rejection was more than Augustus could take and his training began to suffer.  Alpha Jason could not have a weak wolf within his ranks so he sent him to the Red River Pack, hoping the distance between him and his mate would help to heal the rejection. 

No one from Silver Wolf had seen or heard from Augustus after he left.  It was not until I was approached by him at the school that I realized that he was still alive.  When he came to me I noticed a silver mark on h
