Alpha Colt’s deep voice seeps into my head. “Can you come to the office please!”

I hadn’t spoken to him since he let Linc take our son away. Instead, I had spent my time alone and in our room. I had been trying to decide whether I should just go and get him, but Aiden had been so happy about the idea of staying with Linc.

“Leave me alone, Colt!” I mutter back

“We need to talk. I can come and get you if that’s how you are going to be!” I hear the amusement in his voice

“Fine!” I snap and slowly make my way down to the office. As I open the door, I see her chocolate hair and immediately turn around.

“Lilah, we need to sort this out. Your sulking isn’t helping anyone.”

“I’m not sulking!” I snap in defence

“Lately, the only time you speak is to have a go at someone or throw out a sarcastic remark. Now sit.”
