“You should go and find her.” Ivy mutters at me

“Why? She’s walked away from us. She has walked away from my mum.”

“She’s hurting. She has lost her mate. You need to be prepared. Or try and stop her before she becomes out of control."

“I can worry about my aunt later, right now. I need to know who you are.”

She flashes her brilliant blue eyes at me. “I’ve already told you.”

“But it doesn’t make any sense. How could my father not know that any of you existed?”

“Maybe he just didn’t want to see us.” She shrugs her shoulders at me. “We should really get off the road.”

“It’s a private road.”

Her eyes dart about. “I will tell you whatever you want to know, but not here.” She grabs my hand, sending the wave of sparks flying up my skin. But she doesn’t say anything. She leads me deep into the forest, closely followed by the other hybrids.
