It was the only thing that was making sense. If Linc had rejected her too, Daphne would have felt more pain. If he had accepted, then the mark on her neck should have faded away. As much as I was happy that he still had a chance. I was pissed with the information that he had told Daphne. It was supposed to stay buried, but then so was Kaitlin.

“What should I do?” Linc asks, but I was too busy thinking to answer him. I was going to have to tell Lilah. All I could hope for is that she would understand why.

“Do what you want Linc. Make sure Daphne keeps her mouth shut until at least I have spoken to Lilah.”

“You’re going to tell her?”

“I have no choice, you have forced me too.”

He nods his head at me. “It won’t go down well.”

“Don’t you think I already know that?!”

He pauses for a second and tells me that he is going to take Kaitlin away.

“I’ve already told you she needs to wait until she has had the pup.” I mutter
