Daphne

They were freaking me out. Staring at me like I held all the answers.

“There are more like me?” I mumble and Lilah beams at me.

“It would seem that way. Callie, did you get a chance to find out about Daphne’s past?”

Callie shakes her head. “No. That was when I found out about the bloodline. I’ve been a bit busy since.”

“You were going to do some digging on me? Lilah, you could have just asked, you know that I don’t have a problem with telling you.”

“We need to know who your father is. Maybe he knows more about people that are mixed breeds, you know, seeing as he fathered one.” Lilah mutters

“Do we have too? I’m not really bothered about him. He didn’t raise me.”

“Don’t you want to know if your birth father is still alive?” Callie asks surprised.

“Do you think he cared to stay in my life?”

“Maybe he didn’t know.” Lilah suggests. “It’s not like anyone is going to go around saying that they had sex with a human is it?”
