Chapter Sixty-Two

Bluffing

“Is there any ketchup left?” I ask whilst eating my dinner. Colette had plated us up chicken burgers and fries. Lance was in the fridge fetching a drink as he reaches for the ketchup and places it on the kitchen side.

“You should sit down and eat!” He laughs as he kisses me from behind on my neck.

“I’m too hungry to wait! You’ve literally sucked me dry!” I laugh out loud as I bite down on the burger again. I pick up my plate and move into the dining area and sit down at the table. Lance follows me but rather than sit next to me, he sits opposite. My wolf starts whining in my head from his distance, literally from across the table. She forces us to stand up and walk over to him, sitting next to him.

“Not mates eh?” He beams at me as he places his hand on my thigh. Feeling happier, my wolf relaxes as she lets me carry on with food.
