I dragged my traveling bag against the marble as I navigated my way through tons of people to get out of the arrival wing. Lila had told me that she would be waiting for me just outside the arrival wing but right now Lila was nowhere to be found.

I walked further but I still couldn't find her. I wasn't looking where I was going when a woman yelled

"Are you blind?"The woman snapped

"Sorry but what did I do?"I asked confused

"Your silly bag almost made my trip" That was it. She almost tripped and she was shouting as though a megaphone wouldn't be enough for her to yell. I didn't feel like getting into trouble on my first day in a foreign country so I decided to apologize. The woman eyeballed me and with a hiss, she left.

Yesh talk about attitude.

"Krystabel" I heard someone call my name and I turned to the right to find the source of the voice.

"Lila, "I said once I saw her.

"It's so nice to see you" Lila gushed

"Same here, "I said and hugged Lila.

Lila and I did a little catch-up ceremony before heading to Lila's car.

"Looks like a storm's rolling in"I noted and Lila nodded

"We better hurry up, Paris storms aren't always pretty, "Lila said, and just as Lila was about to help me with my bag. Her phone rang.

"Sorry, I'll have to take this"Lila told me and I nodded. I leaned against the car and looked up at the clouds. They were getting darker by the second. Lila returned after what seemed like five minutes.

"I'll have to leave you alone," Lila said and I looked at her with a shocked expression dancing on my face.

"I know I shouldn't leave you but something came up and now I have to leave"Lila tried to make me reason with her.

"No no no, you're not going anyway at least take me home before you run off  like I mean nothing to you, "I told her hoping my words would make her stay but she was adamant

"I'm sorry, just go home before the storm starts and try not to get a ticket" Lila pleaded with me

"This is Paris Lila, I don't know where home is"I argued

"The location is already saved on the GPS just follow the instructions and you'll be at your cozy apartment in no time, "She told me with a smile

"Lila--------"Lila ran off before I could finish my sentence.

Lila Blackwood, a professional architect who left a busy New York for Paris was leaving me all alone in the middle of a storm with only a GPS to direct me home. Wasn't that grand?

I accepted my fate and tried to get my traveling bag into the trunk of the car. I seriously don't know why I packed so much. With the little strength, I had left in me. I hauled the bag inside the trunk and it entered. I let out a small sound of victory and with my sound of victory came the grunt of a man.

"Do you want to kill me, Lady?"The man asked and I turned to face him. I didn't answer him.

"Your bag hit my abdomen"He informed me. It seemed as though this bag of mine was hell-bent on getting me into trouble.

"I'm so sorry, are you in pain?" I asked genuinely concerned

"It only hurts when you ask stupid questions" he paused to breathe "Your bag hit my abdomen and the question you ask is 'are you in pain'. Obviously yes I'm in pain" He said with a scoff. Was this man kidding me? It was just a simple question that he could have answered instead of shouting at me.

"Well I'm sorry" I apologized. It seemed I had been doing a lot of that lately.

The clouds had started releasing their load. It was drizzling and in no time the storm would take its full course.

"Sorry, sorry won't help. I need compensation for the damages done to my abdomen" he told me with a mischievous glint in his eye.

"It's funny how you're trying to exploit me in the middle of a storm"I stated frustrated at him, at the game he was trying to play.

"I'm the one who's injured, I can't exploit you," he told me with a teasing smile. I wiped the drops of rain off my face. The drops of rain increased the rate at which they fell and the thunder that could be heard from afar was a sign to Paris to stay indoors but here I was trying to think of a way to get rid of this man pest.

"It's just rain sweetheart," He said to me like he wasn't in pain moments ago.

"Weren't you in pain minutes ago?" I asked

"The pain is gone," he told me with a mischievous smirk plastered on his face. Oh how I would like to wipe that smirk off his face.

"But you were acting as though you were about to die" I stated

"I'm not ready to die yet Hazel, "He told me and I sighed. Who the hell was Hazel?I decided not to bother. I needed to get home. I turned to enter the car but a hand stopped me.

"What?" Iasked, frustrated. Couldn't he see that I  needed to get home? Standing in the rain with a stranger was not the first day I had planned.

"My compensation,"  he told me

"But you said the pain was gone"I  reminded him of his words

"Damages were done and they need to be fixed" he smiled at me

"I hate you" I spat those three words at him

"I can't say the same for myself" he looked at me, amused. I grabbed a paper and pen from the car and wrote down my number.

"If you need anything, call the number"  I  informed him. Wanting nothing more than for him to go away.

"I will"

I was about to get into the car when I heard him call Hazel. I turned to see the Hazel he was talking about but there was no one standing in the rain apart from both of them.

"See you later Hazel, "He said and gave me a two-finger salute.
