One thing about werewolves is they get angry easily and this might make them do what they never intended to do. Lucas rose to his feet enraged. He could feel his blood burning and his fingernails growing into claws. As Stone brought his mouth closer to Jane’s neck to sink his fangs into her, Lucas pounced on Stone and buried his claws into Stone’s abdomen. Stone releases Jane from his grip as he slumps to his knees. Something in Lucas was still longing for more brutality. He couldn’t ignore or fight it. He grabbed Stone by the neck and sank his claws into his chest aiming for Stone's heart and ripping it out. Lucas with Stone’s heart in his hand slumps to the ground. Realizing what has happened, Jane quickly rushed to help him. His appearance was changing already. His body was growing beastly hairs and his claws were longer than before. His bones began to snap and reshape. Jane could hear the snap of the bones. ‘This could only mean one thing,’ she said to herself as she quickly
SIX DAYS LATER It was 8 PM; the night was quiet until the loud music that came from Lucas’ apartment disrupted the night. Lucas just turned 17 and he’s so excited about his new age. He invited his friends from Orleans High. However, his relationship with Bonnie and Ann is strong ever since Lucas accepted his fate and his quest to find the ‘mystical orb’ to put an end to the immortality of werewolves by making them humans again. Lucas is enjoying his closeness with Jane after the last incident. They are closer to each other now unlike before. Jane promised to keep Lucas’ werewolf identity secret. She was the first to wish Lucas a happy birthday in the morning when Lucas woke up to see the text message on his phone from Jane. More than that, she was also the first to be in Lucas’ apartment for the birthday party. Alicia isn’t that excited. Her night has been ruined seeing Lucas so attached to Jane as if something was drawing Lucas closer to Jane. Jane and L
Lucas couldn’t let any of his friends know his identity. He quickly moved behind Bonnie and whispered to her. “I can’t reveal my identity to my friends. Do something.” With a snap of her fingers, Bonnie froze Lucas’ friends in time. They couldn’t move or be aware of what is happening around them. “What did you do to them?” Lucas stared around in confusion. There was curiosity in his voice. Although Bonnie and Ann have been putting him through how to master his powers, he has not been told he can snap his fingers and freeze someone in time with his mind channeled right. “Relax, they are not dead but just frozen in time.” As a white clan witch, Bonnie knew quite well the best way to save every white clan witch from turning dark is to find the mystical orb and end this fight once and for all, if not, they will all be forced into another dreadful battle with the werewolves. She didn’t want to engage in a fight with the young man dressed in a tunic because she was afraid of killing him
The flashers on police patrol vehicles shone through Detective White’s apartment. The quiet night was no longer quiet anymore even with the loud music turned off. It didn’t end well for Lucas’ friends from Orleans High. They have been declared maimed by a wild bear by the police precinct headed by Captain Harris. Lucas’ birthday party was ruined and his father’s house was considered an act of crime scene with yellow tapes around the house bearing, ‘POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS.’ The attack on Lucas’ friends from Orleans High was bloody. The entire house is stained with blood. Captain Harris was the first to arrive at the scene when Detective White’s neighbors placed several distress calls. Lucas couldn’t protect his friends from the attack of the werewolves, however, before the police could arrive, he was able to rip out the heart of the young man dressed in a tunic before the rest escaped seeing how fierce Lucas was when he gets angry. Detective White was able to
Lucas lets out a loud yawn and then slowly slides down the bed. He walks toward the window rubbing his bleary eyes. With his party ruined and his father’s house considered an act of crime scene, Mr. and Mrs. Willie accepted the plea of their daughter Jane to accommodate Lucas for a while until the investigations were over. Immediately Lucas heard a full-fisted knock he quickly went to answer the door. He was staying in one of the guest rooms in Mr. and Mrs. Willie's house. “Good morning Lucas,” Jane greeted putting up a fancy smile. “Good morning, Jane. How was your night?” “I wouldn’t say fine with what just happened last night.” “I understand because I feel the same way.” Lucas invites Jane in and shuts the door. He clears his throat and opens his mouth to speak. “I must confess, your parents have a good heart. I appreciate them allowing me to stay here for a while.” “Just feel at home,” Jane smirked. “Do you think the police believed what we told them?” Lucas asked with a con
Lucas was eager to get to the bottom of what has happened at the morgue. Immediately after his father left, he quickly made his way to the sitting room. “Hey Jane!” he said as he approached the sofa Jane was sitting on. “Are your parents out for today?” he whispered. “Mom is preparing breakfast. Why?” “Something has happened at the morgue and I want to check it out.” On hearing this, Jane adjusted on the sofa switching her attention to Lucas. “What happened?” she inquired with curiosity. “The corpses of my friends are gone and the diener lying dead in the pool of his blood. His heart was ripped out.” Jane stares with disbelief and at the same time wonders who might have taken the corpses. She couldn’t help but ask, “And how did you know all this?” She’s quite certain that Lucas hasn’t left the house and there’s no possible way for him to know about the incident at the morgue. “I initiated my enhanced hearing ability when my father was on a call with his captain.” Werewolves are
Even though Lucas is staying in their neighbor’s house, Detective White wants to be the one driving him to school. With their house still considered an act of crime scene, Detective White has made the precinct his new home and his desk his new bed. He pulls over in front of Orleans High School as usual. As Lucas wants to open the door, his father pressed the automatic lock button for the car doors. He turns off the ignition and then casts a mean gaze on his son and then begins to speak. “A lot of things have been happening lately and I don’t want to lose you. Let my number be the first to call when you sense any danger. I don’t want you getting hurt. Stay away from that Jack of a person. Got it?” “Got it!” Lucas nods his head in agreement with what his father has just said. “Can I go now?” he asked in a soft tone. Detective White deactivates the lock. “Of course,” he said smirking to himself. With what is happening around the city of New Orleans lately, he has begun to t
ROUTE 9 Detective White stepped out of his patrol car and slammed shut the door behind him. His hand slightly placed on his service revolver, he slowly walks into the woods. He is eager for answers. Not quite long he began to scan his eyes around the trees for a clue as he pays attention to every bit of sound. He recalled on the night he visited this same place, he heard the wolf's howl even though at that time he thought it was the mountain wolfs but it was beginning to make sense to him that the howling he heard that night was that of a werewolf. He slowly approached the same tree Jack’s truck crashed into. With his eyes fixed on the tree, he couldn’t walk further because behind the tree was a swamp of alligators. The only sound that pierced into his ears was the psithurism sound of the woods. “I need to cover more ground if I must find a clue.” Detective White seems eager to find answers and from the look of things, he is not going anywhere until he finds a clu
