Book 2 Chapter 74

"AGH!" The knight cried out in pain having just managed to duck his head to the side as the peasant's blade dug deep into his shoulder. The knight cringed in pain as he released the grip of his sword and swiftly drew the dagger from it's sheathe hanging from his waist and drove it into the peasant's eye.

"You traitorous bastar- URK!" As he began to disparage the dying man a spear punched a hole through his neck, now sticking out of his throat. Blood flowed from the wound down the shaft of the blade. The man who had stabbed him looked both horrified and impressed by his own handy work.

'To die by cowards!' Death was most certainly coming for him. He reached behind him grabbing hold of the spear's shaft before spinning and thrusting his sword through his assailant's heart. 'But I'll die fighti-'

His final thoughts were concluded as a sword was driven into his sides where his armor left him exposed. Blood seeped from his wounds as his eyesight slowly began fading in and out as darkness
