The spoon hit Sarah splattering a little bit of food on her clothing. Although it was light and didn't physically hurt her. It still hurt, the force of Elise's emotions is what she really felt. The look of both Sadness and anger she saw in her face, it was painful to see. Sarah wasn't really sure what she did to anger the girl so much but for some reason at that moment all she felt was guilt.

Even without fully understanding what it was that upset her so much it almost felt as if Sarah had just broken her heart, reminding her of her father forcing her into this marriage with Halbert whom she loathed from the bottom of her heart. She wanted nothing to do with him. For whatever reason her father who she had trusted and been able to confide in turned his back on her immediately for the opportunity of some political gain.
