Chapter 10 Mrs. Maddox

The deal was sealed.

Now Jessica became a married woman.

"Mr. Maddox, I have a request."

"Say it." Christian crossed his legs and looked at her lazily.

"I don't want to make our relationship public for the time being."

"Why?"

"In order to get back what belongs to me, I can't make Adam suspicious for the time being, but don't worry, I am your wife now and I will remain faithful to you. I will move back to my own house."

He believed in her, especially in the face of her determined face.

As Adam's fiancee, she was still a virgin. He had nothing to worry about.

"Okay!"

Christian's narrow eyes flickered, and his eyes were sharp when looking at her again, "But you have to hurry up. I'm not a man with patience."

Jessica agreed and said, "Thank you for today."

"It's nothing."

"But in the future, I want to rely on myself."

Jessica got out of the car. Ethan Binder, the special assistant, asked Christian in the back seat, "President, would you just let your wife go like this? Adam and his father are man with strong suspicion and they are hard to deal with." Christian remained silent.

'She is no longer the little girl back then. I wonder if she gets any wiser after all these years.' He thought.

Adam came home from work and was a little surprised at Jessica's absence.

Usually, she would obediently wait for him at home as long as she was free. He called her, only to hear that she had moved back to the house of the Bush family. He was so worried that he drove to her house in half an hour. "Jess, what's the matter with you? Are you angry with me? Did I do anything wrong?" Adam looked at her anxiously.

Jessica behaved naturally, "It's nothing. I just miss my family and want to live here for a few days."

"Really?"

There would be a board meeting tomorrow. If he lost Jessica's support, Cain wouldn't spare him easily.

Jessica nodded noncommittally.

Adam couldn't find anything wrong, so he gradually felt relieved, "Jess, I heard you went to the audition for an endorsement today and got selected?"

The news traveled so fast!

Suffering such a blow, Cain, Paige, and Adela might have complained in front of him. He was testing her now.

But Jessica would not give the show away. She smiled sweetly, "Yeah, are you happy for me?"

Adam forced a smile, "Of course, you are so pretty... Haven't you decided to give up the old business and to enjoy yourself as a full-time housewife at home?"

Jessica had seen it coming, "I did. But Adela said I was like a parasite that day. I think she was right. I should go out and get a job so that I can be worthy of you."
