Chapter fifty-two: Kidnapped
Matt and Stella stared at John in silence. The latter approached them with his glaring eyes fixed on the girl he loved. “What about the beautiful time we had together?” John asked, tightening his fists.
“That was a mistake, John. Stella had always been mine and no one can stand against our love.” Matt said, holding his chin up. Meanwhile, Stella glanced at John with watery eyes.
“It’s my fault that all the people who love me are in pain.” Stella pressed her hand against her chest. “John, Nancy and Matt. My mistakes keep hurting you.” Stella averted her gaze to Matt.

He smirked, watching her body moves which never knew the meaning of hesitation. “Call her to your office!” She ordered. The security agent ran back to Matt and Nancy. “Here you go. You take this yacht.” He led them, as the rain got heavier. “I’ll never let go of her. Never ever!” Nancy heard Matt repeating to himself. She placed her hand on his arm, giving him a warm smile. “You will have her between your hands soon.”

The stars were nonexistent in that cloudy night which rolled in covering the last of the twilight sky. Moments later, the grey clouds blanketed the sky, hiding the full moon which fought to shine through them. “It’s been hours since we are looking for them. Let’s go back tomorrow, Matt.” Nancy raised her head to the dark sky.“I should find her, Nancy. I can’t sleep, knowing she is somewhere in the middle of the ocean.” Irritated, Matt slammed his hand against the closest surface. “Matt.” Nancy approached, staring at him with a dismayed look on her face. “I’m as worried as you are, but now the chances to find them are low. Look at around you.” She pointed at the dark ocean.

Nancy walked inside the living room with a cup of tea. “Here!” She handed it to Matt. “I’m not in the mood to drink anything.” Matt said, not moving his eyes from the laptop. “The tea will calm your nerves and help you focus more…You didn’t eat anything at all. Please Matt, drink this.” Nancy insisted and he finally looked up at her, taking the cup in his hands. “So, did you find something interesting?” Nancy averted her gaze towards the laptop’s screen.

“Remember when I first saw you.” John’s mouth twisted. “You sat beside the gas fireplace while I studied your perfect features. At that time, I couldn’t blame Matt for cheating on his wife.” He sighed, looking at Stella’s hand as he traced imaginary circles across them. “I ended up falling in love with you and I made you cheat on him in return. I know I’m such a coward, but what else could I have done to control my feelings for you?”Stella stared at him in silence, before he left the swimming pool and sat beside her. “I know you have nothing to say, Stella. Believe me, you will have many things to talk about after I earn your heart.”
