Azlynn’s P.O.V.

Demrid Davis?

Why did this name sound so familiar?

Although I hadn’t much information about the Royal family of the south, the King’s name made me feel that I knew him for a long time.

So, I scrolled the email for the pictures of the King, ignoring Bella’s gleeful howls as she sighed dramatically.

“Demrid Davis!

Even his name has two Ds. Hopefully, his Alpha D will be big enough!”

My slutty wolf started fantasizing about his genitals directly, burning my cheeks. I had no idea why was she getting so riled up for a stranger?

The craze of her unfulfilled sexual fantasies aside, I was a bit disappointed to see the contact’s details and the address of King’s different properties.

There was no picture of him!

It would be better to glance at his picture to test the theory of mate-bond. However, Daleyza and Bella wrongly interrupted my innocent intentions and teased me all the way home.

“Look, who is desperate to see her mate?”

Daleyza laughed while driving, “I

Xavion’s P.O.V. I should have killed my father when he taught me how to hold a weapon. Not by guiding my hand, but by beating the hell out of me with the flat of the blade until I stopped crying. However, I didn’t kill him, following his commands like a dog. And now! Now I had destroyed the only soul that was specially made for me. Pacing back and forth, my boots echoed like gunshots in silence. My chest was heaving as my rage choked me with every single breath. Azlynn knew! She knew everything! The moment that I dreaded the most was there, skinning me alive. She was aware of how I hired the men, set the plan, and killed her beloved father. I had thought that it was just a threat, the East king, who should be eliminated because of hiding the prophecy girl. But I didn’t know that ‘good of the empire’ would bite me in the ass. My fake bond with Valerie cost me my fated pairing. Azlynn looked at me like I was her death itself. Unsure about what to do next, I was racing my brain

Azlynn’s P.O.V. “North kingdom is well versed in magic. Especially illusions, projections, and sleep spells. How sure are you that Xavion was truly with you the whole night?” Alpha Dashon’s statement slid into the room like fire, turning my world into a pile of ash and smoke. My hand flew to my mouth to halt an involuntary scream as I lost my footing briefly, stumbling. Xavion stepped forward fast to support me. His voice cracked with emotions. “I didn’t drug you for it. I didn’t do this for murder, Azlynn. Trust me, I wasn’t aware that King Vindel was your father at that time. I swear to the Moon Goddess …” His golden eyes, that were the main source to calm my every storm in me, were frantic now. He continued desperately. “I was scared to lose you, foolishly proving myself as a King to be worthy of you. And Alpha Dashon, he fed me a target, tying King Vindel’s life to my throne. I thought it was just a political contact, nothing else. I would have never touched him if I knew

Azlynn’s P.O.V. The door slammed open, revealing my fated headache’s furious figure. His growl thundered the room before I could even process his sudden arrival. Xavion was supposed to be on the ground, completing the formalities after the match. How did he come here so soon? Xavion’s eyes glowed gold, sharp with fury. His chest was heaving beneath his open shift where every muscle coiled tight. It was like he changed his clothes in a rush. Glaring at Demrid, he snarled, racing my heart. “What the hell are you doing here, South King?” Despite Xavion’s rage, Demird appeared calm, hands up in peace. “I am here for my daughter. Nothing else, King Xavion” Unfortunately, his cool only ignited Xavion’s rage. He spat out. “Don’t you dare lie to my face! You think I can’t see what’s going on here? It’s obvious that you are trying to manipulate my mate, using her past affection as a leash!” Unlike before, Xavion blamed Demrid for fooling me. It was a significant development in

Azlynn’s P.O.V. Hayley’s hopeful eyes shattered my heart. I had once promised her to marry her daddy to be the forever family. My precious honey was just a kid, oblivious to the challenges of real life. It was so hard to explain that love and hate were more complex than they seemed to be. Crouching down to be at her level, I spoke softly. “To whom I love or marry will never affect our relationship, my precious honey. I am your mommy and nothing can change it.” “Pinky promise?” She raised her tiny finger, seeking confirmation. I laughed and joined my pinky with her. “Pinky promise, my precious honey. I love you!” “I love you too, mommy.” Hayley hugged me tightly, washing a wave of relief over me. I caressed her back and asked her. “Now be good and come with me. You have already missed your afternoon nap due to the match.” My precious honey was still recovering, so we had to follow her schedule given by the doctors. I took her to the guest room upstairs and put her t

Azlynn’s P.O.V.The worry laced in Hayley’s cute voice mirrored her concern for her daddy. It felt great to see that she was so closely attached to her biological father. Perhaps the long break in our relationship was necessary to give her space. Her bond with Demrid couldn’t be strengthened if it wasn’t for my unannounced absence. However, it had cost me a fortune as my precious honey was now a skeleton, too weak for the normal five years old pup. Her heart was pounding against her chest to witness her daddy’s difficulty in the ground. Stroking her hair, I tried to comfort her with a grin.“He dodged that attack. You see this spin. It’s a masterpiece!”Widening her eyes, she was staring at the screen in a daze. My assurance calmed her panic as she nodded fiercely. “Yes, mommy. Daddy is tricky. He can manage.”Then she noticed Xavion’s defense, commanding over the ground. Hayley spoke excitedly.“Daddy is fast, but my savior uncle is faster. He can run like a cheetah.”Her

Azlynn’s P.O.V.Despite Xavion’s protest, I ordered takeout and completed the task, ignoring his huffing. He vented his frustration at his Beta, kicking him out. “Go to the security guard’s office. The servants will give you your pizza box.”Alvaro’s pleading gaze begged for mercy, reminding me I had to talk to Alicia for him. Then he left with a scowl on his face. Within thirty minutes, my order was delivered, and I happily grabbed my pizza for dinner. However, Xavion appeared perplexed to see chicken piccata. He had to eat protein for tomorrow’s match, so I didn’t order carb loaded pizza for him. But he wasn’t ready to eat it. He stabbed a fork into the overcooked chicken, like it had insulted his ancestors. Chewing slowly, he looked increasingly tortured with each bite. I could almost hear his pride cracking.“This is … something!”He finally muttered, setting his fork down. He reached for the glass of wine like it might save his taste buds. Enjoying my pizza, I gave him

Azlynn’s P.O.V. Sabrina’s motherly love burst me into tears, stirring something deep in my chest. Perhaps I was reacting overly emotional, or this assurance was the best thing I had ever heard after my dad’s death. She was the maternal figure I had never seen in my life, letting me taste the bounty of mother’s affection. Now, I realized how it felt when mothers solve their daughter’s grave issues with their years of experience. Her resolve not to pass the generational trauma touched my heart, I thanked her sincerely. “I have no words to tell you how grateful I am, mom.” Sobbing without restraint, I poured my heart out. “I was hopeless about my future, thinking that my life would be another name of misery. Xavion would never alter his ways. He turned into such a mean, obsessive, and heartless person that I couldn’t even recognize him, mom.” I shared my fears with her and felt an invisible weight lifting off my chest. A conversation with Sabrina was indeed better than therapy, a

  • Football Star: The Jerk Alpha's Redemption    It felt real

Azlynn’s P.O.V. As Xavion mentioned it now, it dawned on me that I really forgot to laugh wholeheartedly after my dad’s demise. His unfortunate death was the point when I lost my protector. He saved me from all the troubles like a powerful shield against calamities. But now, I had to deal with the true face of the world after him. As my old man’s memory moistened my eyes, I stopped laughing and wiped them, speaking shakily. “Yeah, it’s been so long.” Xavion stepped closer as his painted face softened beneath the makeup. “I didn’t mean to make you sad, Azlynn. My tongue slipped and …” He brushed my cheeks gently, and even through that ridiculous costume, our bond hummed like electricity. “I just wish to see you smile and laugh like you used to. It never crossed my mind that cheering you up was always in my hands.” His soulful tone hit my heart, sharing his sentiments through our bond. Xavion held my chin softly and gazed at me. “Please forgive me for taking so long to realize

Azlynn’s P.O.V.The ground below me shook as I leaned against the wall, hearing Alicia’s absurd speech. She continued without any hesitation.“I haven’t seen any case of one-sided marking in the mate-bond. Azlynn is depriving King Xavion of his basic rights. So, scaring her was the only method left. But now it seems that we have miscalculated her daring. She didn’t mark him, despite the terrifying story of the late Vampire King.”The sudden stab of betrayal brutally tore my insides apart, making me wince in pain. I didn’t know whether to scream or cry after seeing the true face of my so-called friend. Instead of understanding my situation, Alicia teamed up against me, taking advantage of my trust. It never occurred to me she would be like others as well. The heat burned behind my eyes as I blinked away my tears and spun on my heels, leaving silently. This part of the conversation was enough for me to realize that I was being played. There was no need for more eavesdropping after
