Chapter Six
Ginny’s Point of View
I felt like I had already lost track of time. There wasn’t anything to help with that though. No windows to see if it was light or dark outside, For the first hour or so, I was counting in my head the seconds, but even then, I probably wasn’t keeping track very well, after a while, the numbers seemed to jumble together and it was hard to keep track... So I stopped.
I had no idea how long I had been in this room. Hours, yes, Days? Maybe. How many? I had no idea.
The only thing I knew was that when I went to sleep, I’d wake up and there would be food. Like someone was deliberately waiting for me to sleep before they came in to leave me something. There was never anything to indicate if it was breakfast, lunch, dinner. For all I knew I fell asleep at 5 am and woke up to a sandwich.
I rolled over onto my back and stared up into the seemingly never-ending darkness. There was a small noise, like someone tapping quietly, I ignored it, not sure if I had imagined it or not.. But then I heard it again. I shot up.
‘Hello?’ There was no verbal answer, but another tap, louder this time, almost like a proper knock, before a heard a click, someone unlocking the door, and then it opened.
‘Excuse me? Hello, Miss?’
‘Hello?’ I answered back and the door opened wider, letting the room fill with light. I had to squint my eyes, the brightness hurting them. I had gotten so used to the dark.
‘Hello Miss, I’m Belle. I’ve been asked to come and make sure you’re dressed in your work clothes. It's time to start the day’.
‘Start the day?’ She nodded. ‘What does that mean?’
‘You’re a worker here, Miss.’
‘What am I meant to do?!’. I couldn’t actually believe that freak was serious. He kidnapped me and now expected me to work in his bloody house... Mansion... Castle, whatever!
‘You’ll be with me today, I’ll be showing you what to do. May I call you by your name?’
‘Um.. sure, I guess…’
‘Thank you. Please get changed, Ginny’. She told me sweetly, noticing I wasn’t wearing the clothes he told me to, ‘I’ll wait for you in the hallway’. She pulled the door closed again. I just blinked blankly a few times.
This is all so fucking weird!
Once fully dressed in what I assumed was ‘’work clothes’’, I opened the door and was instantly met with a friendly-seeming smile from this Belle girl.
‘Hello again. Please come with me. You need breakfast before we start our day, Master Cole doesn’t like the inconvenience of malnourishment.
‘’’Master’’ Cole? That’s seriously how you are made to address that freak?’ She gasped and grabbed my arm, Stopping me.
‘Be silent about such insults. If you’re caught speaking like that, you’ll be punished. You must respect Master Cole and his family’. She dropped her hold and carried on walking. Ok, maybe everyone in this house was weird.. Clearly, she’d been here a while. She was completely brainwashed.
That’s sad.
I followed her down to the kitchen and she got me some plain, dry toast, clearly, butter was a luxury this Cole guy didn’t give, and some water. I scoffed it down quickly and then Belle announced it was time to start the work day.
I followed her around the house, she missed quite a few rooms, but she told me that they were being cleaned by other slaves. The fact she even referred to herself as a slave was soul-crushing and didn’t fill me with any hope of getting out of here.
We walked into yet another large room that already looked clean, but Belle assured me, it wasn’t up to ‘’Master’’ Cole’s standards.
‘Where is this place?’ I asked her as we began. She looked up at me, seemingly confused.
‘What do you mean?’
‘Where are we?’
‘In Master Cole’s house’. I rolled my eyes.
‘Clearly but where is this place? England, America, fucking Romania..? Where?’ She looked around as if checking to see if anyone could hear before leaning in and whispering;
‘We’re in the other realm’. I just stared at her. She said it like it was obvious. I had no idea what the hell she even meant. ‘’Other Realm?’’ What does that mean? It was clear she wasn’t going to elaborate on her comment, So, I changed the subject.
‘What is he like?.. This… ‘’Master’’ guy?’ She stopped again.
‘Well.. He’s fair. He only punishes those who deserve it’.
‘I don’t deserve it! He took me from my home and brought me here against my will! Did I deserve that?!’ I snapped at her and then instantly felt bad, this wasn’t her fault.
‘Master Cole has his own way of thinking. If he did that, he felt like you deserved it’.
‘But I didn’t!’. She shrugged.
‘Just be careful though He may be fair, but once you’re on his bad side, He can be…’ She trailed off.
‘Be what?!’. I pressed, wanting to know.
‘Be a monster’. She whispered again. The word sent chills down my spine. Given our interactions to this point, It was safe to say, I was on his bad side already. Great..
‘You think I’m a monster, Belle?’ A sudden domineering voice rang out and we both turned around to where he stood. Belle dropped to her knees instantly, I didn’t.
‘No, Master, I am so sorry, please forgive me, I-’
‘Get up’. He cut her off mid-sentence. She stood. ‘Go and clean my bedroom’. She bowed her head and rushed out of the room, leaving me alone with him.
This is not going to be good…
Chapter One Hundred and EightCole’s Point of View‘Right, are we ready?’ I whispered. At the moment, all of us were hidden in the bushes outside, getting ready to attack. ‘3….2….1...go, go, go!’Jumping up, Me, Chris and his brothers decided to tackle the guards while the others made it inside. As soon as we were seen, it was like things went from 0 to 100 in a second, There were many more guards than we first thought, but we were ready.Throwing my first punch, I noticed the others got inside.Thank god!Ginny’s P
Chapter One Hundred and SevenCole’s Point of ViewEveryone was talking among themselves and I decided to take a minute. I wandered over to Chris and asked if I could talk to him for a moment. As soon as we were away from everyone and their ears, I turned and looked at him.‘How are you feeling?’ He nodded.‘I’m good, Don’t worry’.‘Good, I’m glad. Listen... I told Millie about our night together’. His eyes popped open wide. I could already sense his concern. ‘Don’t worry, she’s not going to tell Nick and we worked through it. She’s not going to cause any problems, OK?’
Chapter One Hundred and Six***A Few Days Later***I couldn’t believe it. I mean, Obviously, my ex-wife was alive, I’ve spoken to her, but, I’d only just sort of, Wrapped my head around it and now here we were, sitting opposite each other in a coffee shop.I got here first and waited for her and I can honestly say, The second she walked through the door, I almost SHAT myself. Part of me thought this was all just a complete wind-up and she wasn’t really Corinee, but there she was. Here she was sitting.It. Was. Corinee.‘So, Are you going to speak? You were the one who wanted to meet me’. She spoke first, her voice tugged on old heartstrings, but that
Chapter One Hundred and FiveI dropped Chris off at my house so that he can relax and get a bit better before I take him home to Nick. Nick was still pretty poorly himself, I didn’t want him to have to worry or deal with Chris when he should be focusing on his own health. I text Nick to say that Chris would be home that evening or the next morning.Sighing, I got back into my car and headed towards Kane and Ginny’s House. Chapter One Hundred and Four‘Wow, You actually remembered my name, I’m shocked’. I just couldn’t believe this. Was this actually.. Seriously happening? She was dead… She died. I know she did. I sold her and her new master worked her to death. I was told this.. I-I knew this. ‘Are you actually stuck for words?’It was strange to hear so much hate in her voice, she was always such a sweet, happy girl... Now venom dripped from every word she spoke.I looked up at Ginny, She was just as shocked and confused as I was.‘I’ll leave you to it’. She mouthed. I nodded and she vanished into the night.‘Cole?’
Chapter One Hundred and ThreeCole’s Point of View‘Seriously… you’re this amazing Vampire-Killer. You?!’ He just grinned and he continued to walk towards me...‘Surprised?’ He asked‘Well... You don’t exactly look like a Killer’.‘Don’t underestimate me. Your pathetic side-piece did’. I was confused by that. What did he mean, ‘’My Side-piece’’? Sensing my confusion, he grinned again. ‘Christopher Knight’.‘Chris?’ Anger boiled up inside me. ‘What the fuck have you done to him?, He hasn’t done anything to you!’ Throwing his
