Darius’ POV

I was in my room getting ready for another meeting I had scheduled with some of the Betas of the pack in preparation for the attack Lucien had threatened me with when a knock sounded on the door.

“Come in,” I said gently as I adjusted the robe on my body.

Selene walked in gently with a slight smile on her face.

“Good morning, my love.” She greeted me as she placed a gentle kiss on my forehead.

“Good morning, Selene.” I responded, looking at my reflection in the mirror.

“Are you going out?” She asked calmly as she sat on the edge of the bed, her both hands placed behind her back and her legs slightly apart.

“Yes.” I answered, turning back to face her.

“Wow. Isn’t it too early to hold a meeting?” She asked curiously as though I was lying to her that I was going to a meeting.

“It’s urgent, Selene. Lucien had threatened to attack the palace any moment.” I replied in a firm tone.

“Seriously? He must be sick.” She scoffed as she stood up from the bed.
