Selene’s POV

I was shocked when I heard about Lucas’ disappearance. I had sneaked out of the palace very early that morning to Trevor’s Den. I asked them to help me get rid of Lucas before he exposed me to Darius.

They had told me to wait for them whilst they go to the palace and get him. I waited for them for two hours in their den. I was shocked to see them come back without Lucas.

“Where is he? Did he overpower you guys?” I had asked them impatiently. I knew Lucas was very powerful and he won’t be easy to take down.

“His room was empty. There were signs of struggles in his room.” He paused and he took a deep breath.

“I believe he was attacked, maybe you are not the only one who wants to get rid of him.” He added as he went back inside their Den.

I had walked back to the palace with mixed feelings, I didn’t know if I should feel happy or sad about what the men had said. My heart missed a beat when I saw Darius as I entered the palace.
