I heard enough. I started walking away, but the rustling sound caught their attention. "Sofia, come back here," Vance commanded as I stepped further away.

"I'm tired," I said without looking back at them. Hell no, I wouldn't want to see them together again. I was starting to regret I joined this trip except for the part in the cabin where --- oh fuck! Shut it, Sofia.

"Sweetie, have you seen Beatriz? She's here to join us," mom said after she noticed me unzipping the tent in the middle of another two.

"Yes, mom. Fun," I said sarcastically.

"We're all hoping you two can be close. I mean, you're both girls. You should vibes." Mom smiled.

I raised my right brow. "And why is that? Is she Franklin's daughter too that I need to get close to her?"

"Sweetie, Beatriz is almost like a daughter to Franklin. He treats her like his real child. Be nice to her, okay?"

"Did you also say that to Beatriz?"
