I made sure to wake up extra early today for work. I was proud of myself; I could now pay off my student loan and take care of my momma, my one and only inspiration along with God.
I was surprised to see breakfast placed on the kitchen counter for me to eat. Normally, it would be the other way around, with me making breakfast for my momma.
"You didn't have to, you know, Mom," I told her, taking a bite out of my scrumptious food.
"It's my duty from now on since you won't have any time anymore to prepare breakfast," she explained.
"I could've prepared it," I mumbled, downing my food.
"Just be grateful," she said, slapping me on the shoulder.
After finishing my breakfast, I immediately got ready and left for my first day of work.
"Here goes nothing," I said walking into the building.
I had on a grey skirt down to my knees, a red long-sleeve shirt, and my hair loose.
Approaching the front desk receptionist, her smile lifted the moment she saw me but faltered the moment I told her who I was. She passed me a pass and told me to take the elevator to level ten.
This would be the highest part of the building where the CEOs resided. I was twenty minutes early, which should give me a good impression.
Hopefully, I could focus on my work today and not be flustered by the two CEOs, especially Hunter. I thanked God he didn't remember anything about me; otherwise, they might have thought I was a gold digger and not bothered to hire me.
What a coincidence that I lost my virginity to Hunter only to be interviewed by him the next day.
I was still dampened about how I lost my virginity. Nothing could make up for the loss of what was something special to me. I was going to church Sunday to ask God for forgiveness, but it still would never make me feel any better about myself.
"It's good that you're here early. Let me direct you to your new office," Tessa, the Human Resources lady from yesterday, said the moment I got off the elevator. She led me into a big bright room with only a desk.
"This is your office room. You could always readjust it to your liking. Also, there are a few documents on your desk I want you to go ahead and read them, then sign in agreement. Your bosses are next door from this room; once you're finished, they'll tell you about your next task for the day. Now if there's anything you need to ask, I'll be in my office; my email is stored on your computer, you can always email me," she said.
With that being said, she left. I took a while to bask in the beauty of the entire room. I got to see outside the building's sky view. Magnificent.
Turning towards the documents, I read the agreement before signing. My payment was everything I didn't expect. It was huge. My student loan was nothing compared to it, and to top it all off, I got housing, health, medical, dental, vacation, retirement, and much more.
God had finally answered my prayers.
Thank you!
I signed my contract with the thought of bringing it back to Tessa soon. In the meantime, I buckled myself to face the two CEOs, Hunter and Hayden.
I got up from my desk the moment I heard Hayden ushering me to his office. I smoothed out my skirt not to look too disheveled by my attire.
Entering the office, I was met by Hayden and Hunter. I came to notice that Hayden's office was adjoining to Hunter's, so that's why he would be in Hunter's office most of the time he summoned me.
"Yes, sir?" I addressed Hunter in particular since he was the one who called me in.
Their presence would have seemed dominant to others, but I wasn't one to cower away. Although remembering I had lost my virginity to Hunter made me feel a bit uneasy at his gaze towards me.
"As today is your first day at work, your tasks for today will be getting to know your everyday routine here. I and Hunter will be showing you how it's done. With the housing facility, you'll be expected to move in by this weekend. You'll be living in our apartment building; that way, you'll be closer for us to reach out to you regarding work. Any questions?" Hayden fully explained to me.
"No, not at the moment," I told him.
"Good. Now here's a list of things you are expected to do as my personal assistant," he handed me a paper.
Just then, a lady I had not seen before entered the room. She was sporting a very short black skirt, almost a mini-dress, matched with a black top that showed quite a lot. Her brunette hair was long and straight down to her back. A very red lip gloss; she looked like a model.
I guess this was the type of woman they wanted. I was strictly here for work and nothing else.
"Hayden, I have completed all the paperwork you gave me from last week and faxed it off to our new clients," she proudly said, handing Hayden the files.
I didn't miss how she seductively pushed her boobs together as she handed them to him, smiling. I also noticed how she addressed a multi-billion-year CEO casually, without any title.
"I was beginning to think you were slacking off on the job. Good work," Hayden praised her.
"Lily, this is Olivia Wilson. She's my assistant. During your first month here, Olivia will be your guide as she's more experienced. Her room's just across from yours," Hayden stated.
"Nice to meet you," I smiled, but I was given a tight smile in return.
"Okay."
"I've emailed two files for both of you to complete by the end of the day. Don't disappoint. You're both dismissed," Hunter addressed us.
Exiting the room, I went straight to my office to begin my work. But before I could start, Olivia entered my office. I thought this could be the start of something new, but her words proved this wasn't to be the case.
"I'm impressed at how you landed this job. I've never seen them go for your type, so what did you do to convince the twins of hiring you?" She asked, nearing my desk.
"Excuse me?"
"Don't play dumb. I can tell by the looks of you, you're not qualified for this job. So tell me?" She rudely questioned again.
"For your information, I graduated from the University of Michigan," I told her. I didn't need to, but I just felt like justifying myself.
"Hmm, well, at least I know I won't be getting any trouble from you. You're certainly not their type. But I'd just like to warn you, don't try to make yourself seem more than what you are, and don't you dare try to seduce those men out there; they're mine," she warned, nearing my face.
"I had no intentions of doing such a thing. I'm merely here to work," I replied. My first day of work, and I was hated by someone I did nothing to.
"Good, and don't think you can double-cross me. I've managed to get quite a number of persons fired who were in your position. Just keep away, and we'll get along quite fine," she smiled at me.
"You don't have anything to worry about," I reassured her. I was definitely not one to mix office romance with work.
"Perfect!"
"Then nice to meet you, Lily," she extended her hand. She was a witch in disguise. I only hoped I didn't find myself in an altercation with her, or my job would be gone like dust in the wind.
“Hunter, baby…” Before Victoria could continue, Hunter cut her off sharply.“In my office. Now,” he said, his voice brooking no argument.I shot her a glare for the pet name she used for Hunter and then directed the same fierce look at Hunter for taking this murderer into his office. Hayden, meanwhile, glared at me as if I were somehow at fault, even though I had done nothing wrong.Once Victoria had left with the two men trailing behind her, I exhaled in relief, realizing I hadn’t even noticed I’d been holding my breath. The tension in the room seemed to dissipate, leaving me feeling slightly less anxious.“You alright?” Olivia’s question startled me.I turned to her, surprised by the concern in her eyes. “Don’t give me that look. I know how Victoria can be—she’s always been vindictive. She used to bully me whenever she got the chance back when she and Hunter were
Lily's POV..............I wasn’t supposed to be at work today. The twins had generously given me some time off to cope with the loss of my best friend, Dillon. I should have taken the time to grieve in peace, but the ache inside me felt too overwhelming. I couldn’t stand being at home, consumed by my own sorrow. I needed to do something—anything—to distract myself and find some semblance of normalcy. And for me, that meant being around the twins.I knew they would be displeased to see me at the office, but I couldn’t help it. The space felt oddly comforting, even as it reminded me of Dillon. The twins had a full schedule today, but they were dealing with a minor matter first. I knew they would be back soon, and I was determined to make myself useful in the meantime. As I busied myself with paperwork, trying to focus on the tasks at hand, the office door creaked open. I looked up, expecting one of the staff or perhaps even one of the twins, but instead, Victoria’s voice sliced through
Third party POV“So, what do you have for us?” Hayden’s voice was low but firm as he addressed the secret detective who had been covertly working for them. The detective, keeping his demeanor casual, responded, “While I was away for Thanksgiving dinner with my family, I wasn’t able to pick up on anything out of the ordinary that might link Dillion’s death to someone directly. However, our team is diligently working on it. As soon as there’s an update, I’ll ensure you’re the first to know.”Hunter’s brow furrowed as he leaned forward, his expression troubled. “Do you think Victoria might be involved, or perhaps his girlfriend? Or could it be someone entirely unknown to us?”The gravity of the situation weighed heavily on them, especially with Lily now deep in depression over the shocking news. It was clear that, despite their own thirst for revenge for what Dillion had done to Li
"Thank god you decided to come," I said happily to my mother as we stepped into the Steele residence for Thanksgiving dinner. The warmth and elegance of the home greeted us instantly, with the scent of roasted turkey and freshly baked pies wafting through the air."I only did it because I don't want to lose my one and only daughter. I want to be a part of your life," she replied, her voice softening. I gave her a tight hug, feeling a sense of relief wash over me."Hello, Miss Montgomery," both Hunter and Hayden greeted my mom with a polite hug. At least she showed them courtesy, even if it was with a bit of reservation.Mr. and Mrs. Steele approached us with welcoming smiles, their holiday spirit evident. "Thank you for having me and my daughter here today. Your home looks very beautiful," my mom commented, handing them a thoughtfully wrapped housewarming gift."Thank you, and Lily has been coming here for a few days now to have dinner with us, so she's n
Lily's POV.........."As it is that we are together now, I don't think asking you two personal questions is wrong?" I asked, laying between the twins. The cool sheets against my skin were a stark contrast to the warmth of their bodies, cocooning me in an odd sense of security despite the burning questions in my mind."Ask away, baby girl," Hunter said, peppering kisses to my cheeks. His lips were soft and tender, a stark contrast to the raw intensity of our earlier encounters. I knew they were in the mood for another round, but after a total of five rounds, my body was fatigued, and they knew this.Taking a deep breath, I braced myself for the answer. "The other day when I saw Victoria entering your room, why did you make her? Are you still in love with her?" I asked Hunter, the doubt that had been gnawing at my mind finally spilling out.Hunter pulled me closely into his arms, his grip firm yet comforting. He looked me straight in the eyes, his gaze unwavering. "The woman you saw the
Third party POV"I think what you've suspected, madam, is true. The twins do seem to be very overprotective of their assistant, Lily," the man said, his voice low and cautious as he stood before the woman seated at her grand mahogany desk, elegantly smoking a cigarette. The woman, her eyes narrowing with irritation, blew out a plume of smoke. "What have you found out exactly?" she demanded, her tone sharp and edged with impatience. The man shifted uneasily on his feet, aware of the woman's volatile temper. "Well, for one, they've made sure she stays at the elite royal condominium where they live. Although I'm uncertain if any other employees reside there, it's clear that only high-class millionaires and above can afford to stay there. Another thing is that she's rarely seen anywhere without the twins or their bodyguards discreetly following her," he explained, his words measured and deliberate. The woman's lips pressed into a thin line, her frustration mounting. "What else?" she snapp
"What the fuck?" This was the first time I'd ever cursed so blatantly, but what Hunter had just said made me see they were going crazy.Hearing my words, Hunter and Hayden began to chuckle, their deep voices resonating in the room. Hunter then held my chin in his hand, tilting my head forward. "Such grievous words from that pretty little mouth of yours, Lily," he murmured, his eyes dark with amusement."Where did you learn that from?" I moaned as Hayden questioned, his finger moving in and out of my pussy with expert precision."Y-you," I blushed, watching as he brought his finger to his mouth, licking it clean with a satisfied smile."Just as I thought," Hunter teased, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "I think it should be our duty to ensure those words are never uttered again." He brought his cock to my lips once more, pushing it down my throat even further as I lay on my back, feeling completely at their mercy."Yes, I think you're right, brother," Hayden agreed, his voice l
It was finally the day for me to make a decision on whether or not I wanted to be with my bosses. I tried finding something to preoccupy myself with but couldn't take my mind off the fact that I needed to choose very soon. The decision weighed heavily on my mind, and no matter how hard I tried to distract myself, my thoughts kept circling back to the same dilemma. My heart pounded in my chest, a constant reminder of the choice I had to make. The Thanksgiving dinner was only a few days away, and my mom still wasn't budging about not going. She wouldn't even take my calls or text me back. The silence from her was deafening, adding to the loneliness that crept up on me during these moments of indecision. I missed her, and her absence felt like a gaping hole in my life, especially now when I needed her advice the most.I was entirely now dependent on my bosses for the care and love they were continuing to show me. Even though I would have a little mishap now and then with the pesky brat V
"There's something I want to ask you," I said to my mom, my voice trembling slightly as I struggled to maintain my composure. This caught her attention immediately, and she turned to look at me, her eyes filled with curiosity."What is it?" she asked, her gaze never leaving mine."I want you to attend Thanksgiving dinner with me and my bosses at their parents' house. They've invited me, and I've accepted it," I told her, my heart pounding in my chest as I waited for her reaction or reply."No," she said flatly."What do you mean, no? Do you intend to stay here and be alone forever?" I asked her, frustration creeping into my voice as I watched her continue to bake her sweet potato pie, seemingly unfazed by my request."So, you've finally given into them, I see," she replied, her tone laced with disapproval as she continued her work without even glancing in my direction."Mom, what are you talking about? We're just having Thanksgiving dinner together, that's all," I said, my voice risin
