KAYLA POV

Waking up to an unfamiliar environment, I tried remembering what actually happened. Then it hit me that I was just scared to return back to my apartment. Lucas suggested that I should come over to his mansion, which I had to oblige.

Going to my haunted apartment, as I called it, might give room for the suspect to pose another attack. I guess I'll feel safe over here. I don't know if I was drunk, but I don't remember that Lucas was on the mega-sized bed with me.

"Kayla, didn't you sleep well? He whispered while trying to familiarize himself with the environment.

"I did, but I was trying to get used to this environment," I responded as we faced each other.

"I know, feel free because this is my miniature world," he said with an air of superiority. Trying to recall the days, I realized that it was a weekend, so I relaxed back on the bed. He saw the movement because I was checking my phone and being a bit of a panic mood. He just smiled, showing his bright dentition.

Even though Lucas is my Boss and the CEO here, I didn't want him to portray me in a dark light. I've tried my best to make sure that our relationship is out of the public eye but I am still shocked.
