Lina’s POV

I should have been ready for it, but the announcement had come so quickly that I wasn't expecting it. I didn't know what to do nor make a move but I stayed, watching every single thing.

I wasn't going to lie but I hated it, hated the fact that Josh's eyes had remained on me while he stood on the podium getting engaged to someone who wasn't supposed to be his wife. Maybe, I had been thinking too much or I must have expected too much of myself, what do I have that Emily didn't?

She was always going to be the perfect match for him, the one who he had always wanted, to him, I will always remain the little one who kept straddling in whatever function he was in, the one who was always going to make a mess of herself, the one he always had to look out for so she wouldn't make things worse than they already were.
