Chapter 012

Bianca was ready to be back to Ethan. 

And with the state he was in, he didn't pull up much fight. He looked emotionally down and badly needed company. 

“Coffee?”

She knew how much Ethan loved to have morning coffee and  knew the exact way he loved it..

He was watching her with suspicion. But he nodded and moved to the lounge. When she arrived with two cups of coffee, he asked the question he had been dying to ask.

“Why are you here, Bianca? Didn't you say you hated me?”

She took a sip and set the cup on its saucer. “That was a long time ago, honey. Time has a healing tone to it.”

He leaned forward. “Healing? How come I haven't healed from everything?”

Everything was the nightmare that their separation was. A few years into it and they realised they couldn't be in each other’s hair space. Bianca declared that she wanted an open relationship. Ethan, nonchalant, agreed. 

Exploring other options was going to help them see if they really wanted to be together and solidify their union, they said. But it only ruined everything. Ethan got mad whenever he saw Bianca with another wolf and realised that the open relationship was a mistake. But Bianca was difficult to convince. After a long battle, he ended things with her. 

And there she was again, sitting across from him, talking about healing.

He was a shadow of himself already, torn by a perceived betrayal again. This time, from Abigail. 

And he was trying to let her go.

“Maybe you didn't heal because you didn't need to,” he heard Bianca say. “Sometimes, the scars help us remember the reason for the hurt and makes us avoid them.”

“Scars. You mean, freshly opened wound?”

“Potato - potato, Ethan. All I'm saying is that, we made a mistake in the past that can be corrected again. I still want you, Ethan.”

He couldn't deny the fact that Bianca looked beautiful. Maybe more beautiful from the last days they spent together. Or it was time that made it seem so. 

She walked behind him and placed her hands over his shoulder, easing the stress off his body. He didn't stop her. His trip to Dark city had been worse than his expectations and after longingly desiring to be in Abigail's arms, he realised that she didn't want him again. 

Bianca's hands fell to his chest and circled his nipples just the way he loved it. Thoughts of Abigail were at bay not and soft moans escaped from his mouth as he relaxed comfortably on the couch. For Bianca, it was survival. She needed Ethan back. She needed to be back, under the protective umbrella of the Frey's family. Out there was a jungle.

She crouched over until her breasts were softly resting against his head. Her hands roamed his sturdy chest, quietly possessing it. He was hers. Alone. She moaned with the pleasure of being this close to him. 

But she wanted more. 

She pulled away only to strip off her gown. A black, sexy lingerie laid underneath, clawed to her body like a second skin. Ethan was mesmerized by her appearance or maybe he gave in because he was hurt and was trying to forget Abigail. 

When her lips grazed against his, he held her steadily, swallowing her lips hungrily like he had been starved of affection. Bianca moaned in his mouth, tore this shirt open, and sat on his laps, ready to have every bit of him.

“Don't stop,” she pleaded. “I've missed you, Ethan.”

“Then, don't say anything.”

If she kept quiet, he could assume that he was making love to Abigail. It was silly that he was trying to forget about her yet he was imagining her body while he made love to his ex wife. 

Her lips took his nipples, kissing them hungrily, pulling Ethan into the mood. Because she couldn't fail this time. She had been a fool to leave Ethan in the past and she had spent every day of the past years regretting it. All she needed was to put Ethan in the mood. She knew how much of a beast he was. 

She dug out his trousers and threw off everything in her body. Her moans, shaky and deep, echoed through the walls of the penthouse. Her wolf felt alive after a long time. 

But she saw the look on Ethan's eyes when he was done. It had borne nothing - not the passion it used to hold in the past when they made love.

They were now in his bedroom. After a passionate start in the sitting room, they had finalised on his bed. But he was looking at her now like a mistake.

“You shouldn't have come here,” he said. “After all these years, Bianca. Did you come because you wanted me to fuck you.”

Bianca was still naked, in bed. And she had no plans of wearing anything or leaving Ethan's apartment. 

“It's nothing like that, Ethan. I regret everything and…I miss you even if you don't believe me.”

“Do you miss me because I became Alpha?” He barked, pulling his boxers to his waist like he could turn back the hands of time.

He had thought this would make him forget Abigail. Instead, it made him feel guilty and even more jealous that, while he was here with a woman he had zero spark for, his son, Liam, was probably screwing the one that made his heart beat. He grabbed a singlet from the wardrobe while Bianca returned to lie on the bed.

“I love someone -” he stopped. “It doesn't even matter what I do with my life, Bianca. I don't owe you an explanation since I don't care about who you're seeing.”

He grabbed his phone from the nightstand. “I'll be going to dark city this evening. You can't stay here, Bianca.”

But Bianca smiled defiantly. When she left her shambling house, she promised she would only be returning to get things that mattered to her. There was no way she would leave Ethan now. Not with Frey patriarch's support
