Chapter 1

"Where are you Samuel? I am asking you for the last time if you are coming or not. I am tired of waiting for you always and you forgetting that we decided to spend the evening together.

I have been waiting for almost an hour, today is our anniversary and yet you are busy working. I don't understand how important is your work or is it even more important than me," said Kate shouting on the call while the other people in the restaurant kept glancing her way to see her break down.

"Now that we have been married for years, you don't think it is important to spend some time with your wife," said Kate ignorant of the people around. She was tired of waiting for what is rightfully hers.

"I am really sorry honey, something urgent came up and you know I can't leave it like that. You know how work can be at times," said Samuel on the other end of the call, trying to calm the anger of his wife.

It was their fifth wedding anniversary and he didn't forgot the date but he couldn't make it to the place they decided to spend the evening. He wasn't making excuses, something important did came up.

Samuel had decided to spend the evening at The Mallz it was the restaurant they went to for their first real date. The place hold lots of memories and moments which they shared together. He wanted to relish it with his wife as there has been some tensions going on lately in their marriage.

It was the least he could do to ease some of the tension that has lately been going on, by spending the evening with her wife, being romantic with her and relishing old memories but he was late like always. 

Samuel and Kate met when they were in college, they both were majoring in different subjects and came across each other by their mutual friends. They dated for a few months before officially announcing their relationship. After graduation they moved in together as they both were working long hours. It felt suited to start living in together as they already knew each other and were comfortable to actually take the next step. 

It was Kate's first relationship and Samuel's second. He dated a girl back in high school on and off for a year and had parted off ways when things didn't seem working out. They didn't have much experience as to what relationships are and how they work, since they both were easy going and calm people it worked out well. They enjoyed dating for a few years, hugging and kissing each other, making out at wierd places, learning each other's touch and warmth. It was as good as it could be.

After dating for a few years Samuel finally proposed Kate and she said yes. Soon after that they tied the knot binding them together in for the long haul. There were changes and adjustments that they both had to make and obviously some compromises but they were happy. Finally settled in their respective jobs and career. 

Be it dating, relationship or marriage it all requires love, loyalty, commitment and respect. Samuel wanted a simple life with a wife and children. He was happy with how the way things have turned around in life, Kate is beautiful and caring with a lovely heart. She is caring and understanding and turning out to be even better with age. He is thirty two while Kate turned thirty recently. Everything was turning out fine only thing they wished was to increase their family. Kate wanted children, she really wished for a child and time seemed right to have a child since they both are well settled in their career and having a pretty decent and happy life.

Things change, love change and priorities change when people change. The once happy couple were finding it hard to find happiness in their life with both being busy in their respective lives. 

What will happen next when they don't want, what they once wished for? Will their love be enough for them to stay loyal to their relationship or will they find solace in this forbidden pursuit....
