MasukIsabella's point of view
Diego was sitting at the head of the table, a navy blue sweat shirt replaced the black shirt he was putting on this morning, I took my seat across from him, inhaling the sweet aroma coming from the delicacy before me, the cook seems to have outdone herself, the table was filled with all kinds of food, roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, pasta, sea foods and even fine wine.
“Do you always eat like this?” I asked, helping myself to a plate of pasta. He took a sip from the glass of wine in his hand, before he dropped it on the table. I watched him pick a file folder, this action made me sigh. Even at dinner, he was still working.
He didn’t even bother to look up, he just nodded his head. Before I could repeat my question the double doors opened, a tall man in black suit stepped in and walked directly to Diego, he leaned close to him and whispered some words in Italian. Capo, that was the only word I could hear, even though I strained my ears to listen. Diego’s expression remained the same, but I didn’t fail to see the faint tightening of his jaw.
“I will handle it later, not now.” He said in a very low voice. The man nodded and left quietly as he had come in. Whatever he came to discuss must have been urgent, I set my forks down as the door closed.
“Capo?” I questioned.
“It’s the Italian word for Leader,” he replied, swirling the wine in his glass, he took a sip and placed the glass back on the table.
“Leader for what?” I sat upright waiting for his response.
His gaze shifted to mine, “You ask too many questions.”
“And you give too few answers.”
He leaned back in his chair, his gaze not leaving me, he studied me for a long moment. “You are not ready for my answers, Isabella. It’s better you remain ignorant of what I am involved in.”
I didn’t back down, I held his gaze.
“What if I don’t want to be ignorant.” I asked, resting my elbows on the table.
“Be careful with what you wish for?” He replied, picking up the folder he was previously going through. He stood up all of a sudden and stepped out, leaving me alone in the dining room.

I wandered into the hallway after he left, I should have gone back to my room but the faint voices I heard made me curious, I followed the sound which seems to be coming from his study
“The shipment will be arriving next week,” a deep voice said.
“Make sure it is clean, no police and no names. Make sure nobody talks, do whatever it takes to silence them,” I heard Diego reply, I gasped as realization hit me, this wasn’t just an ordinary business, the order depicts he was involved in some shady business.
I began to step back in fear of getting caught, suddenly the voices stopped and that ignited my fear, the door swung opened.
“Isabella!” He exclaimed.
“I….. was…. just.. I..”
“Eavesdropping,” he finished flatly, his eyes narrowing.
My heart began beating and pounding against my chest.
“What type of business do you run? I deserve to know.”
“Whatever business I run is none of your business,” he said, closing the distance between us in two strides.
“I deserve to know, I married you and I live with you, I have the right to know what type of man I am sharing a roof with.” I said, with a trembling voice. He just stared at me for a long time. Then he stepped closer till I felt the heat of his breath against my skin.
“Listen carefully,” he whispered, his voice low and commanding.
“I run what everyone knows as the the De’ Luca corporation, but that is only on the surface. Beneath the surface is something much darker and older than even me, it has always been passed down to generations in the De’ Luca household, my grandfather was in it, same with my father till he passed it down on to me. My family built this city from the shadows. We make sure rules are never broken even when we break them ourselves.”
I knew what he was talking about, I’ve read about them in newspapers.
“Mafia,” I whispered.
His jaw tightened, but he didn’t even try denying it.
“We call it family here,”
“You kill people?” I asked in fear, stepping back from him.
“Sometimes, when it’s necessary or when they deserve it.”
“Does my father know about this?” I asked in a rush,
“Why drag me into this?” my chest tightened and my breath became shallow.
“Your father dragged himself into this, there are a lot of things you don’t know about the man you call your father,” he replied, his tone hardening.
“Your father used my name, my money and my network to keep his business going and alive, he made promises he couldn’t keep, his daughter was the only collateral he could offer and I accepted.”
“Collateral,” I whispered, did Jessica find out about this, is that why she ran.
“You are part of my world now, you know what I am involved in, you can’t walk away and you can’t run.”
“It would have been better if you are not aware of this, but you are so damn stubborn. Now that you know what I am, will you stop trying to get to know me, I know what you are trying to do. I am not a good person Isabella, I cannot be a good husband to you, but I promise no harm will come to you”
Leila’s point of viewI woke up to silence, I didn’t move. I just lay there with my eyes half open and me trying to figure out where I was. The ceiling above me was unfamiliar, this was not my room. My brows pulled together in confusion, where is this place? Then everything rushed in, the ceremony, last night. Kardor. I felt the warmth beside me now, the aftermath of sleep already worn off. My breath cut, the memories of last night flashed through my mind and I realized I was in Kardor’s room.I felt my face heat up instantly, I shut my eyes tightly like that would undo everything but it didn’t. I need to go back to my room or I would die of embarrassment. I shifted slightly….. and I immediately regretted it. A sharp unfamiliar ache ran through my body making me gasp.“Be careful.” I heard his voice.Shit! My eyes snapped open, he was awake. I turned my head slowly and there he was, watching me. He seems to have been awake for a while now.“You are awake?” he whispered.“I think so,”
🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️Leila’s point of viewSeeing Kardor’s size again made me rethink if he was actually going to fit into me, it doesn’t look as scary as it was the first time but I still had doubts about it fitting in. But the thing is, I want him inside me of me right now.I baldly wanted him…. I craved him. I gasped as he slowly pushed into me. I felt myself stretch open for him, he was really thick and it hurts as he pushes deeper into me. He was too big, a drop of tear slid down my cheeks as he pushed past my hymen. He looked down at me, “Shit! I forgot you didn’t take the tonic.”“I’m so sorry.” he whispered, peppering kisses all over my face. He didn’t move, he waited for me to get accustomed to his size.“Leila,” he whispered, his face full of worry. He tried to withdraw but I gripped his arm in pain.“Relax, my love.” he whispered, moving to my breast. He began to suck and graze my nipples with his teeth.“You are so fucking sweet, Leila.” he whispered again.“So delicious, I can’t g
Kardor’s point of viewI heard the curtain shift before she appeared, I held my breath as she stepped in. A thin robe was wrapped around her and I knew she was naked beneath it.Mine.That word hit differently now, I just couldn’t take my eyes away from her. My jaw tightened, not because I didn’t want her, but because I wanted her too much.“Hey.” I said, my voice lower than I expected. The voice of a man about to claim his woman in front of the council.“Hi,” she replied shyly. That alone nearly ruined me, this was the same woman who stood in front of my men and demanded me without hesitation. Now she was suddenly shy. I chuckled.I took a step closer, slowly. Because I knew if I moved the way my body wanted me to move, I would have her against the bed in few seconds, with her robe gone and me already buried inside her, fucking her hard like I promised.I wasn’t going to do that to her, even if I want to fuck her roughly. It won’t be tonight and not like this, tonight we feast gently
Leila’s point of view“Punish me?” I repeated, tilting my head just enough to meet his gaze. “In a day we would be joined together?” I whispered.“Especially on a day we would be joined together.” his voice was barely above a whisper but it still carried every ounce of the threat he intended. His grip on my waist didn’t loosen and I was becoming very aware of how close we were standing.I could feel the intensity, that slow suffocating pull between us and how many eyes were on us. He let go of my waist when the elders got close, they moved with deliberate steps and their robes brushed against the floor. The king settled on a high throne, I could see Zeth at his right hand side and my parents, with Roberto at his left side. And just like that….. the ceremony began. A low chant filled the space, it was low at first, then the tempo rose.Deep and ancient voices echoed through the walls like something older than the kingdom itself. Kardor’s hand gripped mine tightly enough to remind me he
Leila’s point of viewI expected a feedback from the maid, but I got none. I was conscious of the fact that Kardor was in the same room as I am.“Can I see him?” I asked one of the women.“You are not allowed to see the groom till you are completely cleansed. That is to prevent bad luck.”The women kept moving around me, their skilled hands worked on my body like I was something sacred or something about to be sacrificed. My hair was being oiled and braided in intricate patterns I didn’t fully understand. Gold threads were woven into it, catching the light every time I moved my head. I felt warm and I could smell myself, whatever fragrance they put on me was really strong.“Lift your arm,” one of the women said. I obeyed without thinking.I had stopped questioning things hours ago, I just let them do their job, even though it felt strange. The woman began to trace something cold along my skin. I glanced down, she was marking my skin with symbols.“What does it mean?” I asked. The woma
Leila’s point of viewThe night before the ceremony felt different from every other night I have spent in here. I was pretty much nervous. I sat on the edge of my bed and looked at the door. The ceremony was tomorrow and that fact has been sitting in my chest since morning with the specific weight of something that was coming regardless of whether I was ready for it. I honestly don’t know how to feel about it, I wanted to be Kardor’s wife but I don’t know if I am actually ready for it.I was having cold feet, fear was part of it. Not the fear of Kardor but the fear of the tradition itself. There are still some things I don’t know about the traditions.A knock sounded on the door, I crossed to it and opened it.My mother. She was the last person I was expecting, I thought the women were here to prepare me for the rituals. But my mother was the one standing at the door. I stood in the doorway and could not speak. She stepped forward and put her arms around me.“You are here,” I whispere
Bruno’s point of viewShe goes still beneath me, I felt her body relax, that was how I knew she was gone. Sleep took a total hold of her, it dragged her under and her breathing evens out too fast. Her body slacks with exhaustion. I pull back and moved to the edge of the bed, my elbows braced on my
Isabella’s point of viewIt’s been four days, almost a week since I saw him, my husband. He was avoiding me, he hasn’t showed up in our room since he took my virginity, maybe me being a virgin scared him away. I am not a virgin anymore, but him avoiding me makes me feel I have some sort of disease
DiegoCarlos’s body was found in the garden at the east path, he had been left with a crushed skull and a blood stained note flapping in the air, whoever did this wanted it to be personal and loud.I went there myself to take in every detail, his body laid there cold. I took the sight in, letting m
Isabella's point of view There is something peculiar about the night air in the De’ Luca’s mansion, it always carried secrets. Today was different from every other day I’ve spent in this mansion, after the visit to the men’s quarters, it was like I had freedom to do whatever I wanted to do, this w
