Chapter Seven

Yihai being the rebellious child he was had not come downstairs for dinner with his dad and stupid business partners but instead he stayed locked up in his room, chatting with Jian on Line.

He was informed that his ex-girlfriend, Irene had moved on with a senior, Sicheng. Not that he really cared anyway. If anything, he was happy she found someone who liked her because he didn't have an ounce of feeling towards her during their depressing relationship.

After his chat with Jian, he tried to replay the sound of Jaesung's giggle-like laughter in his head.

There was nothing weird about it, right? He just loved the sound of another human's laughter.

The next day, some maids had brought in numerous sets of a school uniform for him. Apparently, his dad had already registered him in a notable prestigious school he had a satisfying share in.

Yihai couldn't be any more happier to start school.

Which explains why the next Monday he was ready by 6am and too nerve wracked to eat breakfast.

He woke up by 4:30am brushed, bathed and spent a little over thirty-five minutes styling his hair, and admiring how good he looked for at least twenty minutes.

He smirked at his reflection when he was satisfied and ten minutes later, he was sat at the backseat of the Range Rover, wishing his 18th birthday would come sooner so he could drive his own car.

Suddenly the door on his left opened and someone came in, making his eyes go wider than it already was.

"Good morning Mr. Moon," Jaesung greeted the driver who smiled at him, then he turned to Yihai, all bunny smiles. "Hi, Yihai."

Yihai blinked, noticing Jaesung was wearing the same uniform as him. "Huh?"

"I heard you are now going to my school." Jaesung said, removing his bag pack from his shoulders and placing it in between he and Yihai.

"I mean how are you here?"

"Oh!" Jaesung grinned. "I live here."

"What?"

"There's a quarter far behind the main house," Jaesung informed. "That's where the workers stay."

Yihai had no idea there was another building apart from the main house. "You're a maid?"

Jaesung let out an amused sound, "That name is a bit defaming for a man... My mum works here. She's been working here since before I was born."

Yihai let out a disbelieving sound, his mouth slightly opened as he stared at Jaesung then shook his head and looked out through the window.

He heard something like "This is why I didn't want to tell you at first."

But he wasn't sure because when he looked, Jaesung was already in a conversation with the driver.
