Liam's POV

Slowly, I leaned toward Noah. With his eyes closed and breathing normally, the little red robot remained tightly gripped against his chest. My lips curled up with a small smile as I carefully unbuckled his seatbelt.

The warmth in his body made it feel like I was embracing the entire world, even though my arms were light. During his deep sleep, he was resting with his head against my shoulder while leaving his lips slightly open.

Walking into the house, I walked through the quiet hallway and opened the door to Noah's room with my foot. It was quite quiet. I was enveloped by the familiar aroma of his space. I laid him down on his small bed, pulling the blanket up to his chest with a gentle pull.

In his tiny hand, there was still the red robot stuck in place. Despite my efforts to free him, his fingers were still tight. His expression could only be kept by me and my smile.

My words were sweet, "Mommy, do you love me?" I gently brushed his thick hair asid

Sienna's POV With ease, I arose from the sofa, attempting to rid myself of the anxiety that still gripped my heart."Have you eaten?" I inquired, my voice being more gentle than usual.Liam shook his coffee cup and placed it on the table. "Not yet. You?" "I muttered, Liam." We both chuckled and acknowledged our absurdity after gazing at each other briefly. Even though we were parents of an adult who had just slept, we still found ourselves in a dilemma over dinner."Earlier this afternoon, I had cooked," my words were finally spoken. "There's still some chicken soup in the fridge." There is not a lot, but it can be heated up.A slight frown came out from Liam. "I've been missing your chicken soup." I halted briefly, trying to calm the whirlwind in my thoughts. The ordinary dinner was so weighty and fragile, resembling the possibility of one wrong decision having devastating consequences. Perhaps the reason is that it had been a long time com

Sienna's POV Seeing Noah, I could sense the simplicity of happiness. No extravagant gatherings, no need for the world to acknowledge him - Noah's laughter is pure joy and I am right beside him. That was more than enough.Time passed quickly. With the evening sun setting, a red-hot sky shone through the window. Eventually, Noah settled down beside me, appearing tired. After reaching for a soft blanket, I put him inside.“Rest for a while, sweetheart. We'll have dinner together when Daddy comes back home.”After looking at me with his round eyes, he nodded gently and then slowly closed his eyes. "Don't leave me alone, Mommy," a few seconds later, I was relieved.I held my breath. My heart was filled with the warmth of those uncomplicated words. I nodded as he drifted off to sleep, and then kissed his forehead."My beloved, I will never go anywhere again." Noah's resting place was the reason for my prolonged sitting on the sofa. The babysitter esc

Sienna's POV Holding Noah's hand, he gasped and gasped. "I want to see it!" “Later, after dinner, okay? At present, get your toys sorted out first with Nanny's assistance.”Noah got up and nodded obediently. "Yes, Mommy!" he said, then ran towards his toy shelf. With a smile on my face, I observed his small back disappearing into the corner of the room, and suddenly there was lingering gratitude, love, guilt, all of it.I gazed at the sky and memories of the past flooded back. The person I was once here with was now tired, lifeless, and engulfed in darkness, with dark eyes. Still, my position in the room was unchanged, but my heart had changed. No longer was I that girl. After coming home, I found myself with wounds that were healing and the courage that came from all my falls.I breathed deeply, and the aroma of my home lingered inside. Noah's laughter in the living room, the kitchenkeeper cries in their footsteps, and peace slowly returns inside me.While

Sienna's POV The morning sky was soft and slightly cloudy, but the sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating a warm glow on the house's exterior. The scent of jasmine from a pot on the porch, the sound of trickling water from the small pond, and the breeze that felt like memories were transporting each one to me. I felt a sense of sorrow and sadness in every action, as if I was revisiting the past with aching hearts.I rolled my small suitcase across the floor of the porch, its creak against me as I moved in sync. Whether it was due to my anger or fear, I had stopped at the brown wooden door where I used to open them. Yet this time, all I could do was be in my head. The trembling in my chest was not caused by anxiety, but rather by the anticipation of someone who finally has the courage to return home. It felt like an earthquake. The door handle caught my attention while I waited for it with both hands moving. "It's time to knock," I said, taking in air and ra

Sienna's POV The entire room was in my peripheral vision as I looked around. When I thought about it, it was either the nights when I cried in the corner of the bed, trying to keep my pain at bay or the long hours spent writing. It was a very distant but close experience.I locked my suitcase and closed it with slow steps. The. It was a soft, final click. I felt a new sensation within me, courage, not fear, as my heart beat slower. It was so powerful. After inhaling deeply, I thought to myself, "Sure enough, Sienna. It's time to go home." It wasn't for lack of effort. It was a daunting task to engage in conversation with Liam, given the many wounds and potential tears that could be shed. Noah's innocent demeanor and pure smile made me feel like I could handle it.I glanced at the soiled area once more. It was so neat. This place had been a quiet reminder of my struggles, where I had both lost hope and found strength once more. With ease, I picked up my suitcas

Sienna's POV I remained stationary at my desk for an extended period, observing the numerous papers, scattered pens, and an unopened coffee cup that had only fainted on its coaster. The silence was a clear indication of the extended nights I had spent writing my story. The realization that my work had been completed was a strange mix of relief and discomfort. I had to reorganize my life, and this was not just about my desk.Taking it in stride, I started simple: closed my laptop, the cables were out, put them neatly into a little black bag. I felt a strange noise coming from my laptop as it quietly shut down, which seemed like the conclusion of aging. It was quite an emotional experience.I consolidated the crumpled handwriting into a tidy pile. Some were torn at the edges as a result of being moved excessively. A small smile spread across my face as I reflected on the frustration that used to consume my life whenever inspiration left me."You've been through a lot
