Chapter 5

Abigail sat in the bathtub until the cold water finally pulled her out of her thoughts. Slowly she peeled off her wet clothes and wrapped herself in a towel. When she emerged from the bathroom she found Paul sitting at her computer answering emails.

“Are you feeling any better?”He asked when he could feel her staring at him.

“A little.” She answered as she walked into her bedroom to get dressed.

“I went over the contract and you’re right it is really confusing. So I contacted the buyers and have set up a meeting for tomorrow to go over their terms. Any questions you have they will answer then.” He yelled from the other room.

“Wow, all that while I was sitting in the bathtub, fully dressed I might add.”

"Yes, all that while you were sitting in the bathtub, Sorry about the clothes, what happened by the way? You just started freaking out in the elevator."

"I don't really know. My brain just quit working I guess." Abigail answered, not wanting to tell Paul about the note.
