NICHOLAS' POV

I just had to walk out of the room.

"Nicholas Pearce, don't you dare walk out on me," my dad says, in his usual cool but authoritative voice. But I'm done being his puppet. I just needed to clear my head. I head towards Daisy's café to grab a cold drink before meeting up with the guys but that seems like it's going to take longer than expected as I bump into a brown-haired beauty.

She had cappuccino all over her body and I could see the embarrassment in those icy blue eyes of hers. Her cheeks were quite flushed also because of the night breeze finding its way through the door as we were both still standing at the entrance of the café, thereby incurring lots of eyes towards our direction.

"You okay?" I ask her, my eyes not leaving her for a moment while I bring out a handkerchief from my pocket. I offer it to her but rather, she takes a step backward, eyes glaring as she looks up to meet my gaze.

Those eyes were captivating as they kept my brown eyes locked to hers. Her anger seemed to be cooling off as her expression towards me soften a bit.

''I'm so sorry dear. A beauty walked right into me, forgive me for being captivated for the moment.'' I smile a bit, knowing how cheesy I sounded but wanting to ease off the cold air between us. Well, I guess it worked as she smiles a bit back at me.

"it's okay. I was also clumsy, so I have my own fault here. The only thing not okay is these sticky clothes on me'' she replies now smiling at me.

Well, no one sees my face and remains angry, it just isn't meant for my gene.

"I could give you something to change in to'' I offer, as I remember having a pair of a t-shirt in the boot of my car.

"Sounds nice,'' she says a little sarcastic while staring at my body. I could guess what was going through that little head of hers.

"There's just one problem'' I say smirking at her while we walked out of the café, ''it's not going to be as sexy as it is on me''

''Well, I would say you've got the looks but not the body'' she laughs knowing her reply caught me off guard.

''At least, you admit the looks are there right?'' I smile at her knowing she couldn't escape from the truth.

We arrived at where I had my car parked. I unlocked the door and went to grab the t-shirt in the boots.

''You're handsome but not cocky, so it's easy for me to admit you have good looks.'' She grabs the shirt from my hand and enters the car to change.

ADRIENNE'S POV

Once done changing, I step out of the car and he's right in my face. The space between us so little that I could feel his every single breath on my lips.

When my eyes met him, I became aware of his facial features. He had sad brown eyes which still looked good with his long lashes. His hair was a mixture of amber with caramel highlights and he had the perfect smile as he smirked at me, knowing how mesmerized I became as a result of the close contact.

"Thanks for the t-shirt'' I say while stepping away from him.

"You're cute and clumsy at the same time,'' he says while putting his hands in his pocket. He was so cool and handsome. I hope to have a little drama in my life too, but the likelihood of meeting him again was probably down to zero since I never really saw him around. So whatever I say right now, I won't have to face the outcome.

''I won't probably see you again, but know I fell in love with you at first sight''

With that being said, I turn around to leave without turning back, not wanting to see the expression on his face. I guess he didn't see that coming as he didn't come after me either. That was a foolish move but I couldn't help but smile at the thought of what I had just done. I guess I took a step out of my box today and it is something I would never forget.

Getting back home, it was already past 10 and I'm sure they were most likely worried as I wasn't a late person.

''You're quite the character'' Kate says scaring the hell out of me as I tiptoe up the stairs into the room.

''Sorry, I got into a mess today'' I say, a smile tugging at my lips.

''Honey, what's with this smile of yours. It's getting me all excited'' Kate says, always ready for a gist.

''Nothing darl'' I reply grabbing her hand as we walked to the room. She just smiles at me and kept talking about Christian.

''He is a lucky guy, you know'' I say, staring at the ceiling with my back against the bed.

''I bet he is. I mean, I'm a total package right'' she answers smiling at me.

She is one of the best things to happen to me since the death of my dad and I always felt happy just being around her.

''I fell in love, at first sight, today'' I say knowing what was likely to follow.

''You what!'' she exclaims.

''And I told him how I felt'' I continued.

''you what again'' she says again in utter disbelief. She knew I could be crazy but never saw this as one of my traits.

''I'll explain better tomorrow. Goodnight,'' I say, closing my eyes to relive every second of the day.

I guess she didn't know what else to say as she didn't pressure me for more details. Kathie could be calm, well that's new.
