‘This apartment is dreadful! Our woman deserves something that truly matches her status. I am so done with climbing drainpipes, I am a distinguished Alpha wolf, for Goddess sake!’

Slade was throwing a tantrum inside Atticus’s head, snarls of protest and irritation spilling over with each step they took along the shadowed, familiar route to Anna’s apartment. With practiced agility, he leaped from one balcony to the next, careful to avoid alerting any sleeping residents. Anna lived in a penthouse, fortunately, and the building wasn't overly tall, making the ascent relatively easy.

Still, the secrecy of it all grated on Atticus, a constant annoyance for his powerful, unconstrained wolf.

The Alpha paused on Slade’s words, caught in an uncharacteristic moment of reflection.

He knew his wolf was right. They had been doing this for almost two months now, twice a week, sneaking out of the high-security prison in his private helic

Unnecessary to say that I floated into the office the next morning like a balloon caught in a breeze. The physical remnants of my encounter with the Hawk were nothing compared to the quiet confidence that radiated from within me. My head was high, my heart light. The world felt not just manageable, but beautifully conquerable. I sat down at my desk with a kind of private triumph, a silent vow that the night had made me stronger, more resilient. Even the dullest paperwork felt like a steppingstone to greatness. I could handle anything today. Whatever landed on my desk, I’d crush it. The update on the upcoming extravagant Lunar Gala in Blue Moon was already waiting for me, a thick file neatly stacked and clipped. I reached for it, flipping through the pages with ease. Everything looked tight—on budget, well-organized, and the designs were categorized with care. I nodded to myself, pleased.B

The first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes the next morning was that the Hawk was gone. The space beside me on the bed was empty, though the sheets were still warm. I hadn't expected anything less, this man was a creature of the night, one who shrouded himself in shadows and vanished before the first light of dawn. On the pillow, however, lay his mask. It was an exquisite, carefully crafted half-mask of rich emerald leather, a silent dare that concealed one side of his face from hairline to cheek. My thumb tracing the sharp lines of the leather, still faintly infused with his intoxicating scent, something distinctly his. It felt like a tangible fragment of the man who had just taken me, a stunning yet cruel remnant that embodied both my newfound longing and the mysteries still concealed from me. "Ahh, a keepsake," I murmured, a smile gracing my lips. "Now it will be impossible to forget who I spent th

Anna’s Point of View still I was startled by his remark. All this time, I had believed I was working discreetly, even my closest friends didn't seem to realize the full extent of my intentions. Yet here he was, perched casually on my sofa, the Hawk, a man I’d met only a handful of times, unraveling me with eerie precision, naming truths I hadn’t dared speak aloud. My thoughts scrambled, trying to catch up with the moment. "How do you know that?" I asked, the tremor in my voice threading through the words. "Is it really that obvious?" He chuckled softly, not mockingly, but with a kind of fondness, like he’d been watching me puzzle through myself and couldn’t help but care. His eyes held no judgment, only a quiet knowing, as if it was the most natural thing in the world that he understood me so well. "I know everything about you, Princess. Your thoughts are an

The city lights blurred into a long, shimmering ribbon as I drove home, my mind a swirling vortex of the day's events. The success of the Blue Moon project, the undeniable thrill of my carefully orchestrated revenge on Ettire, all of it faded into the background. My thoughts always returned to his messages, his playful yet possessive words that promised a night I would never forget. He was waiting for me. I could feel it. I pulled into the driveway and stepped out of the car, the cool night air instantly replaced by a heavy, electric stillness. As the front door opened, a soft glow of candlelight illuminated a path through the living room, and a smile crept across my face. Dozens of candles, of varying sizes and heights, were placed with deliberate care on every available surface, their flames dancing and casting a warm, intimate light across the walls. The air, rich and heavy, seemed to hum with an unspoken promise.

Ettire took the bait. Desperate as he was, he had agreed to every single one of our terms in the contracts. I didn't think he even realized that one of the contracts was made with me, his former mate. He had likely just glanced at the company name, Lunar Crest, without bothering to check who had signed the documents. His overblown ego and shortsightedness were the tools of my vengeance, and he was using them perfectly against himself. In total, we had structured three separate agreements. Amy and Margie had created an independent investment company to get the agricultural sector in Blue Moon on its feet and see it through to the first harvest. An extensive feasibility study had already been conducted, and The Alfas from the other packs were willing to reinstate their old supply contracts. Everything was in place. All that remained was to recruit new pack members, and that was where Lunar Cr

  • Four Times Rejected, Destined for The Throne   Chapter 46 – Settle The Score

Believe me, stepping in as the Good Samaritan was the last thing on my mind when I laid out this plan. Margie’s announcement about supporting her mate, instantly sparked an idea in me, and my offer to invest in Blue Moon was decidedly twofold. If I had only been after a decent to high return, I could have just as easily invested in my own pack, the business acumen of my inner circle was unmatched, and a project there would have offered a much more secure and predictable return. But no. To me, it was all about revenge. This plan was built for payback, nothing more. My need for revenge on Ettire burned within me like a slow, steady fire. I had promised myself I would face him again one day, but I never imagined it would be this soon. I saw my opportunity here, a chance to settle the score. He was broke and saddled with an overrated attitude, and I was going to show him exactly what he had lost by flatly turn
