Chapter 21

Zen found himself walking towards the woods. He was sure that he had heard the voice of someone in pain The voice also sounded like it was that of a female. From the scent , it wasn't a human so he felt safer to go find out.

The scent grew stronger as he drew nearer. He followed it and it led him on until he came to stop in front of a huge forest tree. It was so thick that it hid whoever was behind it completely from him.

" Hello?" he called. There was faint breathing and he could hear her heart beats. They were irregular. "Its okay, I won't hurt you"

Annalise froze where she was. That voice was fucking familiar. How did he even know she was here , like what the hell was he doing here.

A twig broke as he tried to come closer.

"Don't even think about it!" she yelled covering herself up the best way she thought she could.

Zen thought the voice was quite familiar.

"Annalise?" he called. "What are you doing here?"
