The Drivers at the other table talked about everything from loads to flat tyres to blown turbos but none had mentioned destinations yet, one of them wasnt even a driver just there for the cigarettes food and drinks he could scavange, he was obviously developmentally delayed but why he thought hed start offering other drivers consumables to me i dont know but i wish hed knock it off because yeh i did want a nicotine hit and a drink wouldnt go astray, but I wasnt a scavanger I supplied my own goods and when I couldnt I went without, the only thing I wanted from any of them was a damn lift.

"Im good thanks, but I am looking for a lift up north if any of you are going that way? I wont talk your ear off and i wont make a mess" i added quickly some drivers are paticular about their trucks it was after all their home away from home.

"I think your on the wrong side of town to go north love but we'll put the word out" a bearded driver answered me. His voice sent shivers down my spine his kind but firm eyes and large hands sent warmth to my core, he even looked concerned bringing forward my fantasies of having a Dominant Daddy to take care of me, I quashed it quickly.

No men would be a part of my life again not for casual encounters and not for something more, i had trusted and tried three times since being given permission to break the bond with my mate and leave my pack with pups in tow, two of them had made it as far as meeting the pups, but they all filled me with empty promises and sent me away broken. I would not be that mother that bought a stream of men claiming each one was the one through my pups home and lives. No i am destined to be alone at least until the pups had grown and moved out.

"Come sit with us, you say no to the cigarettes and drinks but your eyes tell another story, its not scavenging im offering"

Damn i thought my poker face had gotten better but he was reading me like an open book. I took a seat next to him and retrieved a cigarette from the pack he extended to me with one hand whilst catching the drink he slid my way with the other "Thanks, i do appreciate it" i said giving him a smile. I dropped my eyes quickly and turned forward careful to not make eye contact with anybody. my dam eyes had gotten me in so much trouble over the years.

"Orion" he said extending his hand

"Misty" I replied shaking it, his hand is warm and strong and what can only be described as comforting.

I went round the table one by one getting the names of other drivers, conversation flowed freely the drink went to my head fast as did the second, when the third was offered i turned it down, it would be dum to take it on an empty stomach it would render me unable to protect myself from unwanted advances, and if life taught me anything it was that men saw incoherence as consent.

Orion eyed me and i could have sworn he muttered "Good Girl" but the laughter from another drivers story drowned it out. yet even though i couldnt be sure i did hear him say that just the thought of it sent my heart a fluttering.

one of the drivers stood up declaring it was time for bed, he looked at me and said "im parked in the east corner orange towel hanging from my mirror if you get bored and want to visit"

Orion Growled. Weird!

I reminded the driver "i wouldnt get a ride over that way and i really need to get one, but thanks for the offer"

it didnt dawn on me till later after the other drivers had cracked a few jokes realising i was oblivious that he had beleived i was a lot lizard and was asking for my services. OMG even though id lived life through various scenarios i was still naieve enough to not know when i was being hit up.

"How long since youve eaten?" Orion asked in a gruff but no nonsense manner.

"aww a little while" i answered not wanting to tell him itd been three days, i wasnt much into giving sob stories and i feared hed offer to feed me.
