Part 10 - Stephanie

The weekend couldn't come fast enough. I was getting anxious and worried. I hadn't eaten all day I was so nervous.

School was letting out in 20 minutes and the kids in this class were working in groups for the last few minutes of class. It was the 4 day weekend and no one wanted to do anything. The kids didn't even want to write a paragraph let alone listen to me drone on about a new civilization.

The bell ring making me jump and the entire classroom erupted in cheers as they all ran out the door.

Thank God that was over. I thought to myself.

I grabbed my bag and threw it over my shoulder and finally walked out of the classroom. I refused to take papers with me this weekend to grade. I needed this weekend with Deacon. I had packed and repacked since he left yesterday.

The ride home was even a blur. I had even ignored my phone as it dinged with texts and a few phone calls.

I pulled up in my little drive way and someone clearing their throat near me broke me from my thoughts.
