Chapter 13

The nurse was checking on Emma. She was puzzled by her sudden action of falling unconscious. She knew that something bad must have happened with her and only one person could be blamed for this but she dared not to speak a word and just focused on her job. Damien was standing by the doorway watching Emma with worried eyes. He regretted threatening her and stressing her out. He brushed his face with both his palms and waited patiently for the nurse to complete her checkup on her.

After completing her checkup, she turned around towards Damien. Damien walked towards her and inquired about Emma. "How is she?". He asked. "Mr Damien, she just woke up after a fatal accident and any stress on her could be harmful for her brain. Right now all she needs is rest and nothing more". She repiled slightly angry. Damien nodded. She excused herself and walked out of the room.

Damien's gaze went towards her once again. He walked to her slowly and arrived by the side of the bed and sat down beside her.
