I storm down the street to my house, the house that once felt like a safe haven and now feels like I’m a stranger there. All because we aloud her in my home, and she’s used that as an opportunity to fuck everything up.

Even if she’s not the one who’s working with the witch, if there even is anyone. I want her out of my house. I know she’s up to something, and though I can’t prove she’s the one who did this to Liam, I know she’s involved. I can feel it in my soul.

Not having proof is just the only thing saving her from ending up in the cells.

The front door slams open as I rush through it, Liam and Dallas right behind me. “Amy, we can’t prove anything.” Liam tries to reason with me, but I’m too far gone for it to matter.

I stalk up the stairs and as soon as I’m about to storm into her room, her door opens. “Oh Amy, you scared me.” Nadia says, her hand over her heart, with a small smile on her face. Like we’re all apart of this big joke.

I step back from her door and hear Griffon’s clic

He walks me passed what I’m assuming were Hazel and Aspen’s cells thanks to my scenting coming back. I really need this wolfsbane work the rest of the way out of my system. I’m looking forward to being able to speak with my wolf again and being able to talk to Amy anytime I want to.I hate any distance between us, and I need to be able to constantly know she’s okay. Dallas keeping me updated on the phone he gave me is hardly enough.I follow Griffon down the hall, until he stops at a door, and pulls out the key. He turns to the guard that followed us down here, “Go grab some water.” He orders them and the guard instantly takes off.I eye Griffon and he shrugs, “I’m the only one with the key to get in. I’ve been gone for a bit, she’s probably thirsty and if you want her to live, she’ll need some water.”I can’t find it in myself to care that she’s been suffering. She deserves everything that has ever happened to her. I mostly just hope she isn’t already dead.We walk inside and she han

Waking up with my angel in my arms and in our own room is the most amazing feeling. I don’t even allow the problems outside this bubble to affect the serenity of this moment. Her eyes flutter open, as if she can sense me staring at her beautiful face. Her radiant smile, mends something inside me that has seemed to be broken for such a long time. I love her. I couldn’t imagine not loving her until my dying breath and long after. Her hand lifts to my chest, and she leans in and places a sweet kiss on my lips. Her body melts further into mine as the kiss starts becoming deeper more urgent. She pulls away suddenly, sitting up and grasping her head. I pull myself up next to her, rubbing up and down her spine. We don’t talk about it. I know what it is. I know she’s talking to her again. Destroying this moment, much like she’s destroyed our lives. We’ll figure this out though; we have to. Failure isn’t an option here. I can guess what Amy will do if we don’t figure this out before the red mo

The house looks pristine. Like he’s had a cleaner coming here everyday and a gardener to keep the outside looking brand new. It surprises me.Clearly, he took the opposite route with our house then I did with my moms. Which I couldn’t be happier about. I would have been heartbroken if this house was burnt to ash when we got back.I stand in the living room with Dallas and Liam, and just look around for awhile. Everything’s still here right where we left it. If it wasn’t so freaking clean, it’d be like we never left. The house was never dirty, but it was lived in. It always showed a family, and all their friends occupied the house, but now it looks more like a museum.I grab Liam’s hand, and he squeezes mine in return, “Come on, Angel.” He pulls me, and leads me up the stairs and to our bedroom.Dallas stays in the living room, giving us some much needed space to be alone.I go straight to our room, wanting nothing more than to lay down on our bed after not having a comfortable bed for

I grunt frustrated and lay my head in my hands. “You put your mate in a cell?” I ask Griffon after he tells me everything that’s happened since we left. He nods, looking over at the window, “She tried to kill me. I mean… I know now that she didn’t really want to kill me, but at the time I thought she did.” He explains and I sigh.I shake my head and change to subject, “The stage is coming down, and we’re putting the park back. Your mom and I are not staying here, we’ll be heading back home. I’m getting rid of most of your safety rules. You’re going to explain to the pack how you acted out of fear and concern, then you’re going to apologize.”His teeth clench and he shakes his head, “I may not have done everything right, but everything I did was to keep the pack safe. You said yourself mom said that she wanted to get to us, and she couldn’t.” He says and I roll my eyes, “She couldn’t get to Heather either. And you know why? She used other witches to protect her pack. She didn’t take aw

Hazel and Cole don’t stay in the office for long. Hazel announcing they’re going to go see what books they have that’ll help with all this.Griffon tells everyone else that there’s food waiting for us in the dining room, and everyone except Griffon, Liam and I go.Liam walks over to Griffon’s desk, and forces him to move. Griffon stands up and Liam sits down. Griffon stares at him. “What does this mean? I’m not an Alpha anymore?” He asks, and I’m honestly not sure.I don’t know if Liam will want to take back his position or just help him fix the wrongs of what he’s done.I look over at Liam, as he starts rummaging through everything on the desk. He grunts frustrated as Griffon continues to stare at him. “I don’t know, Griffon.” He growls and then stands up and looks out the giant window overlooking the pack.I walk over to him and wrap my arms around his waist and look out at the pack with him. He wraps his arm around my shoulders and keeps me close to his chest.I know his mind is re

Driving up to the pack, I think I’ve set myself up for what I’m going to see.I’m wrong.Griffon’s car in front of us stops at the gate… No… Wall, and he talks to the guard that walks up to him.I can see the fear in the guards eyes from here.Goddess.Dallas must sense where my mind is, because he reaches out and grabs my hand.He doesn’t speak. I doubt he knows what to say. He helped do this. He helped Griffon create this nightmare.Aspen looks back at me through the rearview mirror, her eyes worried like she doesn’t know if I can handle what we’re about to walk in to.I give her a curt nod and lay my head down on Liam’s shoulder, his arm around me tightens. The wall opens and allows all of us to drive through. The guard looks into the car as we pass, and his eyes widen when he sees Liam and me.I try to smile. I really do, but it falls short.‘Aw. All this for little old me. It’s sweet.’ The witch speaks, but I ignore her. It’s what I’ve decided is best. I don’t want to engage with
