My cheeks are bright red as I sit up and face Heather. “You guys were kissing! Are you getting back together?” Heather exclaims loudly, I glance up at Liam and turn back to our daughter. “No sweetie, we got caught up in a moment, but your daddy and I have a lot to talk about. Let’s go downstairs and get something to eat.” I don’t look back at Liam, not wanting to know how he feels about what I said. I’m not sure it’s even true, I just don’t want to get my baby’s hopes up. They’ve been through enough with more to come, without adding this to the mix.

I grab onto Heather’s hand and start leading her down the stairs, with Liam close behind. When we get downstairs Heather lets go of my hand and starts racing to the kitchen. “Griff! Griff! Mommy and Daddy were kissing!” She shouts to him and the entire room goes quiet staring between me and Liam. I can feel the heat rising in my cheeks. Goddess, if it wasn’t bad enough to have Heather see us kissing now everybody knows.

    I walk down to the cells with Finn and Randy. Now that their magic is out in the open, Hazel’s been allowing them to help out with research a bit more. The Goddess chose her mother. Not her. It just ended up being her.” I answer and Finn shakes his head, “Stop talking about it.     “Everyone’s coming.” Dallas tells me and I look up at him confused. “What do you mean?” I ask him and he shrugs. “I guess we’re doing a family dinner down here.” Dallas explains and I purse my lips. “Is that a good idea?” I ask and he shrugs again, “Guess we’ll find out.     Well last night was a fucking train wreck. We went from everyone enjoying their time on the run, to two people injured and Hazel needing to be hospitalized.My father dealt with all of that, while he left me to lead the run.
