Chapter 10 At The Altar

Corvin’s POV 

Corvin stood at the altar. All the lights were off in the hall, but the glass ceiling let the full moon in perfectly. The room was brighter than it would have been with the lights on.

The moonlight gave off a blue light that made everything in the room glow, and the stars littered the sky with sparkling dots. They seemed endless. If it were not for gravity, it seemed one could fall into the stars forever.

This day really could have been better. He shouldn’t have had to go all the way over there to pick up the pup, especially today of all days. Her mother should have prepared her.

She really shouldn’t have been alone in that bedroom with that upstart brat, either. He had been mouthy, and Corvin did not like
