"My dear, it's such an honor to have you here," a potbellied man said. He pulled out a chair for the damsel beauty to sit.

"You don't know how long I have been waiting for this moment!" the potbellied man exclaimed. He rubbed his palms together and licked his lips before taking his seat.

"Nice taste," Devika complimented.

Her gaze swept round the room. They were in a suite. A grin appeared on her face.

The suite screamed of wealth. From the walls decorated with beautiful wallpaper, to the wooden floor. The ceiling had ancient carvings and a big chandelier hung above their heads. A big glass wall giving blissful view of the city.

The table for two they sat at was decorated with fine dinner materials. Devika traced her palms on the fabric, its soft texture pressed under her skin.

The table was filled with different fancy dishes, with a bottle of fine red wine and lit candles for decoration.

Red roses spread on the floor, along with water and lit candles giving the atmosphere a kind of romantic vibe.

Devika's gaze landed on the man's face. She almost frowned, seeing how he was smiling like a fool.

She tilted her head to the side, and rested her elbow on the table. Her fingernails tracing round the glass cup half filled with wine.

"So... Jake, right?" Devika questioned. The man nodded like a fool. So disgusting! Nonetheless, she brushed it off and continued.

"So Jake, what do you do for a living?" she questioned, making eye contact with him.

"I am a real estate dealer. I am very rich, you can say that," Jake said. Devika was tempted to roll her eyes but she kept her cool.

"Okay. Are you married or have any children? I don't mean to invade your private life, I just want to know who I'm with," she said with a pout.

"It's okay. I am single and I have only one kid," Jake answered and she almost slapped him.

Men! All liars, another reason why she would steal from him without pity. From the information she gathered, Jake Norman is a real estate dealer, married with six kids.

"Oh really? We are a match then," she giggled and he nodded.

"Let's toast," Jake said. She raised her glass as he did the same.

Their glasses clicked, before they brought them to their lips. Devika watched with a devious smirk as Jake drank his wine. Of course she had already sedated his drink.

"Drink up," Jake said. He dropped his empty glass on the table, she hummed before placing hers on her lips. She poured the whole wine into her mouth but didn't drink it.

She isn't a fool. She knew what men like Jake can do. They take girls for trash, drug them and rape them. And when they try voicing out they bribe them with the videos they make.

"You are so beautiful," Jake said, feeling a little dizzy. His head was spinning and he was starting to see double.

Devika poured the wine back into the glass and stood on her feet. She rushed to him. "Jake! Jake! Jake! Are you okay?" she questioned.

"What did you put in my drink?" he questioned. An evil smirk appeared on her lips. "Something to keep you out for the meantime," she said.

He raised his hand to press the alarm button, but she held it.

"No no. If I were you I wouldn't dare. I have all the information I need to pull you down. The many girls you've raped, what you do behind cameras. Everything. So if I were you, I would fall asleep and wake up like you never saw me," she threatened and his eyes closed. She balanced him well on his chair, before pressing on her earpiece.

"I'm in. Where to?" Devika questioned.

"The safe is in the first room. Under the bed. The security passcode is 4546," a voice came from her earpiece.

"I will send over the drones," the voice added.

Without wasting another second, Devika found her way to the room, like Chloe said. The safe was really under the bed. She brought it out and put in the passcode. It shone green before opening.

She stared at the bundles of cash in it. A smile appeared on her lips. She brought out a black paper bag from under her gown, then filled it with the cash. The safe wasn't that big, it only contained two hundred and fifteen thousand dollars. So it was easy for her to fix into the bags she brought.

One by one, she dragged each bag out of the room to where Jake was sleeping. She walked to the window and opened it. The drones were waiting already, big drones to help carry the bags.

She took each drone and tied a bag on each one, till all the money bags were tied to the drones before she let go.

"What's next?" she asked Chloe over her earpiece.

"I will send the drones back," Chloe replied. Immediately the drones started flying away. But one refused to, the other drones sparked like they were about to fall.

"Why is that happening?" Devika questioned, her eyebrows twisting into a frown.

"You don't have to worry about them, they will make it. And the other one, leave it. It will work in two minutes," Chloe said. Devika didn't reply to her. She made to walk past the door when Chloe's voice sounded from the earpiece.

"You can't leave through the door, the guards outside will catch you. And you can't take them all out, they are over twenty," Chloe said, cutting Devika before she could mutter a word.

But Devika wasn't one to be shunned. "Don't underestimate me."

"Go to the kitchen, open the fridge. There is a lock with the same passcode as the safe. When it opens follow the path down, it will lead you to a VIP exit. Take it and take the elevator, which will lead you to a damp alley. Then you are free," Chloe instructed.

Without replying, Devika rushed to the kitchen. She opened the fridge and the passcode was input. She entered it, like what Chloe said there was really an exit.

She could see other secret doors, hidden in the walls. As she walked down the hallway to the elevator, she saw a man walking towards her. What caught her attention wasn't even his handsomeness, but the wristwatch on his hand.

She knew that watch. It is the only one in the world, she has been meaning to find it but the owner really kept it hidden. And now she just found the owner.

As she reached the man, she intentionally bumped her shoulders into his, and pulled the watch out of his wrist without him noticing.

"Hey!" came the man's cold voice. She didn't spare him a glance. She gave him her middle finger when she entered the elevator. With the watch on her hand, but this handsome dumbshit didn't seem to notice.

The elevator closed after her. She breathed a sigh of relief.

A few moments later the elevator opened in an alley, like Chloe said. She walked along the alley, and came to a street where her car was parked. A Lamborghini sports car. She got in and started the car. The engine roared to life and she drove away.

Her phone beeped from the passenger seat. She checked to see that it was a text from Aoife. It was a photo of a man, and her next mission.

Immediately she saw the photo, her eyebrows frowned.

The guy she stole the watch from. What a game.

A smirk appeared on her lips, she increased her speed driving like a thief. Sirens wailed loudly as police cars chase after her.

**KINDS THE WAY LAUNDRY** It’s been almost five minutes since Devika arrived here. She stood in front of the receptionist filling the form they gave her. After she was done, she slid it to the receptionist, who wore light-red lipstick, a scarf around her neck, her hair tied in a low bun, and a suit with a pencil skirt and heels that matched her outfit. “I am done,” Devika said. She slid the paper to the receptionist, who took it with a smile on her face. She examined the paper, then looked up at Devika. “Okay, miss, you can come back to take them tomorrow morning,” the receptionist said. Devika walked out of the building without saying another word. She met the driver outside; he stood in front of the car waiting for her. “Are we leaving now?” he asked. “No, to your mother’s house,” Devika answered. His face twisted into a frown, but Devika cared less. She entered the car, and he did the same. **IDRIS OFFICE** Idris stood behind the floor-to-ceiling window. His hands wer

Arthur stood on his feet, ready to leave when Riccardo stopped him. "Leaving so soon? I thought since we rarely see you, you would love to stay for lunch," Riccardo said with a pout. Arthur turned to him angrily. "If you think I give a damn about you or anything, then eat my dick, asshole," Arthur snapped through gritted teeth. Riccardo scoffed as he approached Arthur, his hands behind his back. "That’s disgusting," Riccardo sneered. "Let’s do something fun—let’s make a deal." He stood just a few feet away from Arthur. Arthur let out a scoff, tilting his head to the side. He turned his back to Riccardo with a mocking grin on his face, his eyes holding nothing but mischief. "Looks like you’re forgetting who I am to you—the bastard brother," Arthur reminded. Arthur was the product of a one-night stand, the illegitimate son, while Riccardo was the legitimate one. Arthur’s mother and father met during a business trip in Africa; they had a one-night stand on the beach. What was mea

"Really?" Idris questioned. His gaze shifted to the coffee then back to her face. His dreary gaze bore holes into her skin. What followed was an ephemeral silence. Idris took his gaze back to the cup of coffee, he then stared back at her face. His gaze was searching for any ominous sign. His gaze scooted back to the coffee. "Is it poisoned?" Idris questioned with uncertainty. She shrugged. "I don’t know. You should try it, maybe when you die I will use your dead body to get what I want," Devika asserted. Idris darted a glare at her, but it only made her chuckle. "What? Are you scared? The almighty Idris Zachariah is scared!" Devika snickered. "Why don’t you have a test first?" Idris suggested, leaning back on his chair. His right hand rested on the desk, while his other hand sat on his thigh. He swung the chair to the side, facing his left. Eyes on Devika. "You should have a test, please be my guest," Idris said. Devika didn’t argue. She strode to the desk and picked up the

NEXT DAY, FURIOUS THIEF GANG HOUSE. MORNING.** Aoife walked alone in a hallway. Her heels clicked the floor as she walked down the hall. She was dressed in a bodysuit with high-heeled boots. After the successful mission last night, she didn’t even care about food. She was so exhausted that she retired to bed without having dinner. She planned to sleep till the next morning, but her brain didn’t let her. Her mind kept drifting back to Riccardo. She doesn’t understand the reason she felt the urge to see him, but she just wants to be with him. The joy at every successful mission that made her celebrate and end up drunk in a bar, resulting in obsessed Arthur—she didn’t feel it this time. Instead, she felt guilt eating her up. Her face twisted into a frown, and she pushed the thought to the back of her mind. She pushed open the grand door in the hallway and walked into the room—the dining room. All of the gang members were present, eating their breakfast. She walked to her seat, an

She hissed out in frustration. Reluctantly she got up from the bed, she stood on her feet and slipped into her flip flops then she **walked** to her closet. The memories of her family getting burned alive flashed through her head. Tears gathered in her eyes but she didn’t let them fall. She felt like a failure. She let her parents down. For years she had been trying to locate the killers but **hadn’t** found any. No doubt they **were** highly skilled, **in fact** they **were ghosts**. Her mind snapped to Idris and she al

Diana managed to hide behind a pillar. The security who came inside to inspect stood at the door far from the death beams. His gaze traveled round the room. He took a step back and opened the door, expecting to see someone come out but nobody did. With one last glance, he turned and walked out of the room closing the door behind him. Diana breathed out in relief. She walked back to the jewelries. “You know we can't just take them right? We have to replace them with a counterfeit or something identical,” Diana said staring at the jewelries. “Yep! Check your left, there is a bag of clone jewelries exactly the same as the original. File them according to their original,” Chloe said. Diana did as instructed. She took every clone filing them back in the case immediately she took the original. She filed the jewelries in a bag. She tried lifting it and her back made a crack. “Fuck! This shit is heavier than my life problems,” Diana muttered. “Diana you got incoming. Be out in a min
