BEAUTIFUL BUT TRAGIC.

I stared at the sleeping form of my wife, brushing away the strands of hair that covered her face to get a better view.

Her eyes were sunken, her nose was blotched and there were frown lines on her forehead.

I felt a pang in my heart because of the way the pregnancy was taking a toll on her. Most nights she couldn't sleep.

She would cry so much from the pain she was feeling. Her back, her legs, her waist, and even her ribs.

We visited the hospital and we were told that it was as a result of the movement of the babies.

I wished the babies would just come out so that she could be free from the pain.

"Kenny? Why aren't you asleep?" I heard her raspy voice and focused my attention on her.

"I'm not sleepy, I want to watch you sleep," I replied with a smile.
