The city careened along its usual wild pace—horns honking, pedestrians scurrying between cars, and a sky that seemed to curve out forever above. But to Kc and Valeria Page, the universe had been reduced to one single thin, fragile point.

Kc parked the black Mercedes just outside St. Haven’s OB-GYN Center. He walked around the car quickly, opening the passenger door with a silent urgency. Valeria stepped out slowly, her hand in his, her other cradling her still-flat stomach without even thinking.

“I’m not nervous,” she said with a breathy laugh, though her eyes darted toward the glass doors of the clinic.

Kc glanced down at her. “You’re biting your lip.”

She stopped at once, cheeks burning. "Okay. A little nervous."

Kc stepped in closer to her, lips whispering against her temple. "No matter what we find out today. I'm here with you. Always."

Valeria unwound as he clasped her hand tightly. "Let's go."

They sat together on the bench in the waiting room, hands clasped. Teal and white cove

A few months on.There was silence in the room that was almost religious. Light poured in through thin drapes, its golden light softly casting over the bed. Valeria perched on the edge of the bed, her phone gripped within her hand like it was the only thing that kept her sane. She panted for air in sharp gasps. She could not find words to describe the pressure on her chest—fear? Awe? Possibly both. Her heart beat too loudly, drowning out her mind. Her hands trembled. There was a knot in her throat she couldn't swallow down. This was not a booked appointment.Today something would be made real.Kc stepped out of the closet, flawless in his suit, fidgeting with cuff links like any other mundane morning. But the moment he noticed her, he was caught mid-movement.He saw it.The quiet. The tension in her shoulders. The way she was breathing in pause as if she didn't trust air to remain in her lungs. He moved across the room in an instant. "Is it today?"Valeria gazed up, eyes already fille

Morning sickness. Mood swings. And the notorious 3:00 a.m. Mango Ice Cream Incident."Sweetheart," Kc ventured one morning, cautiously sticking his head into the master bathroom, "you okay in there?"A deafening, melodramatic groan responded. Two months pregnant and steadfastly radiant (or dripped with sweat, depending on the hour), Valeria was hunched over the sink, once-sparkling locks theatrically wound up in a bun now reduced to emergency level.I believe my organs are on a rollercoaster," she complained, dabbing at her mouth with a soggy washcloth. "And they didn't even pay admission."Kc sat down next to her, his hand tracing the curve of her back."I'm suing your stomach lining," he announced. "Defamation of beauty."She shot him a dirty look. "That was tacky enough that I actually do want grilled cheese now."He blinked. "You want grilled cheese? She gasped. "YES. Now. But like.not your average grilled cheese. It's gotta be with caramelized onions, three cheeses, sourdough bre

Kim stood again, now muttering to himself, half-panicking and half-scheming. “Okay, okay. I’ll give her a few days. She’s emotional. There’s a villa, probably candles, he probably made that face—the serious one—and now she’s trying to live like a cottage-core goddess in Manhattan. Fine. She’ll come back. She always comes back.”“Sir…”He raised a finger theatrically. "But if she won't… On my life, I'll go to their penthouse myself and negotiate in love—Kc Page or not."Mira was struggling not to grin. "You mean beg?""I mean negotiate, Mira. With fervor."Another message chimed his computer. From Dior. Then another. Vogue Asia. And Paris Fashion Council.Kim scowled."I'm not okay," he said, his eyes glassy. And even while that part of him was freaking out, grieving the legendary model he molded into an icon…Another part of him—the part that loved like a second father—whispered in a low rumble:"She lived. She's free. That's all the campaigns in the world are worth."Kim threw his ar

It was three weeks since the courtroom rang with the last gavel, the world knew the truth, and Adrian and Ariadne were punished. The anarchy that had so far followed Kc and Valeria has finally faded away, leaving behind a silence that was not creepy but one that was well-earned. A silence full of the relentless beat of ordinary days. Of healing.Up in the Page Mansion over the East River, sunlight filtered softly in through their bedroom's high windows. The once fortress of marble and codes again felt like home.Valeria perched on the edge of the bed, her hand around a steaming mug of cinnamon tea. Her hair was loose, hanging down the center of her back in braids, her silk robe sagging at the waist. Kc stood by the window, already dressed in the dark turtleneck and slacks, observing boats move across the river. He stood before her, for once silent as if tracing the lines of fatigue and strength etched on her face. He stepped forward, removed the tea from between her fingers, and sat a

The sky above Manhattan was silver and impenetrable as the city solidified with sound and fury. In front of the Federal Courthouse, the crowd had gathered since before morning—media, paparazzi, civilians holding signs. Helicopter rotors thumped in the distance, cameras snapping like thunder, microphones thrust in front of anyone who would speak. But inside the courtroom, it was cold. Not temperature-wise.In tension.Kc Page remained beside the prosecution's table, charcoal suit, tight-fitting, shoulders rigid and straight, hands clasped behind him. To his left, Malcolm leaned against the rail of the gallery, all-black, laptop closed for once. Manager Kim, too, was there, reclining in the front row, dark circles under his eyes from sleepless nights. They waited. The courtroom doors swung open.Adrian St. Marc entered with two U.S. Marshals in tow. In orange, handcuffed, he was gaunt. Pale. His prison-close-cropped hair did nothing for his receding hairline. But his eyes shone with a s
