Chapter 8: Kira's POV

As our lips parted, Prince Dante stared at me in shock and I knew I was done for.

What was I thinking ? Why did I let that strange voice talk me into making such a big mistake?

He'd probably throw me out of his camp or worse—kill me for forcing myself on him.

What have I done to myself?

"I'm…I'm sorry, your highness.." I stammered, my voice barely above a whisper.

Dante darted his gaze from my eyes to my lips and then back to my eyes, his face void of any emotions and I tried my best to look for the nearest possible exit.

But before I could think of what to do, I heard him speak.

No not him…

That voice sounded deeper than the voice I had become familiar with and his scent flooded my nostrils in excess.

"You have no idea how much I've wanted to do that kira" he hoarsely said before he smashed his lips back to mine while wrapping one arm tightly around my waist pulling me closer to him.

I gasped.

I was wrapped in his godly scent that attacked my senses on all levels. It felt impossible to resist the sweetness that came along with his lips as his tongue pried open mine and he delved deeper into my mouth.

His other arm found its way to my neck, as he pressed me harder to his chest making me moan inside his mouth. I felt my breast and nipple become full and hard at the same time.

Oh heavens…what would it feel like if he kissed them the way he was kissing my lips right now

"Yes…" the voice in my head purred, urging me on.

His tongue explored every corner of my mouth making me moan again as I quickly held on to his chest having no idea as to what to do at a moment like this.

His muscles rippled and stiffened underneath my touch and the intensity of the kiss became Wilder than before making the space in between my thighs tickle in a way I never knew existed while my toes curled and goosebumps crawled in every part of my body

Goddess…this feeling.

I never want this feeling to end

And just like that—he suddenly pulled away.

I held back a cry as my body felt so heated up inside out, that I couldn't help but want more of his kiss and touch and everything in between.

Why was he stopping?

Did I do something wrong?

Why is he staring at me that way?

"I'm sorry, I…I don't know what to do" I whispered shakily, my cheeks burning with embarrassment. "But… but I'd like to know what to do. I've never had this kind of experience before."

I saw how his Adams apple bopped up and down, his throat working as if he was struggling to breathe and I heard how his heart thundered in his chest

Wait.

Did I just hear his heartbeat?

I did.

But I guess nothing could have prepared me for what happened next

"Kira…you're so beautiful" he muttered, his voice thick with emotion.

Those words sounded so good in my ears making my thighs clench hard together and my lower belly tight.

He sweetly smiled at me before leaning in closer, I closed my eyes expecting a kiss on my lips but instead I felt his breath on my earlobe as he kissed and sucked on it making my knees and legs grow weak

I craned my head in an attempt to get away from his sweet torture as I moaned out. But in doing so, my mouth made contact with his neck.

For some weird reason I think that drove him to the edge.

A deep, guttural groan rumbled from his chest.

His grip tightened.

He yanked away the blanket that had been between us, destroying the last bit of distance keeping us apart. His lips found my ear again, his breath hot and ragged as he moaned against my skin.

"Mmmm…my cute little Mate.."

Wait.

Did he just say… mate?

"Let me out," the voice in my head whimpered in response.
