When everything is lonely, I can be my best friend.

"How did you..." I trailed off when he looked back at me and turned front, hugging his knees and playing with the water. I knew I was lying but I needed to cheer him up. He was better off not sad.

"How did you know?" I asked again after clearing my throat. I folded my arms and watched as Storm began to play with the plants.

"You're so noisy for a stalker. I could hear your footsteps and heavy breathing. Plus you don't need to act dumb, it's not required," he said and I rolled my eyes and sat close to him, hugging my knees too.

"So..." I trailed off and he glared at me. The swell on his eyes had reduced and the color was now a shade of purple. I smiled at the blue shirt he wore. We kind of matched.
