Denied By The Alpha

Tessa was just about to storm out of the pack house when she spotted one of the pack members walking inside. She quickly recognized him as one of the male wolves who worked in the Alpha’s mansion and immediately approached him.

“Is Alpha Black in the mansion?” she asked Jacob the moment she reached him.

“No Tess. He hasn’t been around the pack for days.”

Tessa frowned. “Are you sure? What about his betas?”

“They aren’t here either,”

Knowing that was so unlike Black, Tessa unlocked her phone and dialed Black. The call had barely started ringing when the entrance doors suddenly opened.

“There he is, Tess,” Jacob said, glancing toward the entrance. “But why are you looking for the Alpha?”

Tessa didn’t bother replying and quickly turned toward the entrance. To her surprise, she saw Black walking into the building, flanked by his two betas Liam and Lorenzo, and by his side was a tan skinned lady. She looked like she had stepped straight out of a magazine cover. Not only did she have flawless skin, she was really pretty, her hair was perfectly styled and she wore one of those designer dresses that screamed wealth. It didn’t take a genius to guess she was a pure blood, one of those she wolves from powerful packs.

Tessa’s heart fell the moment she sighted her laughing and linking arms with Black as though they owned the entire pack. A strange feeling settled deep in her chest.

All her life she had never been one to like attention or be in the spotlight, but right now she needed answers and she needed them fast and without caring who was watching, she did what her heart told her to do. She approached them, making Black and the woman beside him stop in their tracks.

“Who are you and what do you want?”

Tessa felt tears instantly rush to her eyes. She didn’t know what hurt the most. The words he had just said or the fact that Black had spoken to her coldly in front of everyone which he had never done before including raising his voice at her.

She swallowed painfully, trying to gather some courage. “H-Helen gave me a termination letter…”

“And?”

“And?” her broken voice came through. She knew the young Alpha was cold and had a brutal personality but he had never been brutal towards her. Not even once.

“I thought I made myself clear… you’re to pack your things and leave the pack, or do I need my betas to drag you out?” Black said without emotion, his voice cold as ice.

Tessa felt her heart stumble and the tears she had been trying to hold down finally rolled down her cheeks, but she didn’t bother wiping them away.

“Who is she babe? Do you know her?” the gorgeous lady asked, glancing at Tessa before turning to Black.

Tessa felt her world stop.

Babe? Was this a dream?

“She’s no one… don’t mind her babe. Let’s go inside,” Black said and placed his hand on the small of the lady’s back as he led her inside.

“B… Black!!!” Tessa yelled not caring that she had just called the young Alpha by his first name in front of everyone. She didn’t care who heard. She was about to go after him when she was stopped by Liam, his beta. “I’m sorry Tess, but I think it will be best if you leave.”

“Why? I didn’t do anything. I just want to talk to him… please let me talk to him.”

“Get a grip Tess, if you don’t leave now I won’t have a choice but to drag you out.”

Tessa sniffled, “If everyone else wants to be unfair to me… not you too, Liam.” she sobbed, ignoring the fact that everyone else was watching. Some of the omegas had already stopped working and had all gathered to see what was happening.

“I care about you Tess, and that’s why I want you to leave.”

Tessa shook her head. “No… no… I-I need answers.” her voice broke as another sob tore through.

“Alpha Black ordered for you to be dismissed and leave the pack.”

“Why? I…I didn’t do anything to hurt him.”

“I don’t know Tess but I think he’s moved on. That lady is Elsa Brightwood of the red sky pack, and they are getting married this weekend.”

“What? No!” Tessa sobbed, staring at Liam in horror.

“Please just go Tess, before things get bad.” He said and gave a small, apologetic smile before turning and walking in the direction Black had gone.

With trembling lips and tears rolling down her cheeks, Tessa rushed to the omegas quarters and grabbed her bag, including the sealed envelope she was going to give Black hoping to make him the happiest man on the planet but that didn’t appear to be the case.

She picked up her handbag and exited the quarters before storming out of the pack house.

On getting to her car, Tessa tossed her handbag in the back seat, turned on the car engine, placed her hand on her belly and started crying.

“I’m sorry honey, I’m… so sorry. I promised I was going to introduce you to Daddy today but I couldn’t even keep my promise. I’m so sorry.” She bursted into uncontrollable tears. She had no idea what hurt the most. The fact that Black had banished her from the pack or that he had looked her in the eye and denied her in front of everyone when he had literally proposed to her just a few days ago.

Tessa couldn't believe any of this was actually happening. She had never felt so lonely in her entire life. She cried and cried until there were no tears left.

After what felt like forever, Tessa finally started the engine and drove out of the pack’s estate. She had no idea what was going to happen next, but she decided to go home and wait for Black in the apartment he had gotten for her outside the pack grounds. Surely there had to be an explanation for everything that was happening.

Tessa drove through the busy streets of New Orleans and about twenty minutes later, she arrived at her apartment. However, to her dismay, she saw her clothes and furniture being thrown outside of her apartment. Men dressed in uniforms were carrying things out of the apartment and placing them on the ground.

For a second, Tessa thought she was seeing things.

She quickly unlocked the car and rushed toward them, not even bothering to park properly.

“What the hell is going on here? These are my stuff. Why

are you breaking into my home and touching my fucking stuffs?” she yelled at the first man she came in contact with.

“Are you Miss Tessa?”

“You didn’t answer my fucking question. Who are you and what are you doing in my home?”

“We received orders from Alpha Black to clear out the apartment before evening. We are just carrying out instructions.”

Tessa felt all the air leave her lungs as she stared at the man in front of her with horror. Of all the things Black put her through today, this was the one thing she never thought he would do. She couldn’t believe the same man she had loved for the past year could be heartless enough to leave her and the precious child growing inside of her homeless.
